  • I have all the TL zooms. They work very well. I also have a mix of Voigtlander and Zeiss primes. The Tl lenses are exceptional. I got the primes for low light situations: a V 15mm f/4.5, a Z 35mm ...
  • I've had the CL since inception. I love it. I've been shooting since 1956 and teach photography. The CL's files are of the best quality that I have experienced. Their color is wonderful. Detail is ...
  • That would be nice! I just want waterproofing......
  • Don't knock it unless you've tried it. It is very far from a "trinket." It is a well thought out photographic tool with lovely files and a simple operation. I will never go back to my Canon 1D's, ...
  • I'm always interested how others view my stuff. Indeed, I have learned aspects of my tools through reading about them! Marc
  • I understand. I don't want all those bells and whistles. I'm old school (70yo). The CL offers me simplicity and absolutely wonderful files. The camera delivers excellent detail and has an ...
  • Toy? I have the CL since it first came out. I’m a pro fotog and have taught it in college for 10 years. I’ve owned many cameras since 1956. The CL is no toy. It isn’t perfect, no camera is, but it ...
  • I, too, hope they review it. I've had it since it came our and it's on heck of a camera. It's not terribly unreasonable in price at all for getting into the Leica world. It's beautiful, built like ...
  • Replied in Rain
I presume that you protected the camera in the rain because it is not water resistant. Did you just shoot one handed under an umbrella? Thanks! Marc
  • I had a T. I sold it and got the CL. I'm pretty sure that the TL2 and the CL are very similar in most ways, sharing the same innards. I used the T with the add on EVF. That EVF was poor, in my ...
  • With all due respect, you're shooting a DNG, a raw file. A raw file generally is not processed when it comes to sharpening. You will always need to sharpen raw images. Marc
  • Thanks. I tried that..... And I've tried DNG Cleaner. No joy..... Marc
  • Created discussion thread FYI re CL and DXO PhotoLab
Hey, all! for quite a while, I've been using DXOPL in my workflow. It no longer works. It does not see my CL dng's. I've tried to get in touch with them, to no avail. (That really makes me ...
  • Weren't you worried about the rain? I haven't taken mine out in rain. Scared.... It isn't water resistant like my Old em-1 or my long gone Canon 1Dmk3... Marc
  • Note that DXO PhotoLab does not recognize Leica CL files. Really makes me angry! I've contacted them, but they have been non-responsive. Marc
  • You bet!
  • Yes, it does work well. Of course it's fully manual....... It's cheap and old, and happy like me!! Marc
  • I just tried my aged Sunpak 383 auto super and it worked very well. It's much lighter than my leftover Canon flash.... Marc
  • Expensive toys!? Come on.... I didn’t just spend ~$3000 Opm A toy. That is insulting. The CL is FAR from a toy. It’s a damn good camera. I’ve been shooting since 1956, andnI know a toy when I see ...
  • I agree. I have all three TL zooms, and they are astonishing. I remember the early zooms back in the 60's. They were crap, at least that was my experience. The TL zooms would put them and that ...
