This doesn't make any sense.

face detection needs to be on. I saved AF-C in MR3 an I recall it by AF ON. Eye works!

Yes but if you ara in AF-S mode you have to change before in AF-C, not very smart... better to assign AF-C to AF-ON button.

Yes but should be fine to assign AF-C to AF ON button and enjoy the new feature without switching both AF-S and AF-C... it doesn't work?

Is not possible to assign AF-C to AF ON button and enjoy the new feature without switching both AF-S and AF-C. I really hope yes...

Benpisati: It's a fantastic optics, it has two problems, the zoom ring too far forward, and then, more importantly, the AF is slow, you notice it especially when it loses AF and has to start again. The sony GM are very fast. But at this price everything goes into the background, for professional use it could become a problem.

I will rent a A7III and see the difference with my R...

Hi, I've a A7rIII. Sometime it does not acquire AF immediately, he always has a little hesitation, even on simple subjects. Not always, but it do it. This happens in AF-S. In AF-C it is perfect. I noticed that the A7III does not suffer from this defect. So the Tamrons being slower, more emphasizes this problem.
