Leica should be ashamed of themselves, to many Leica products are having issues, considering the money they ask R&D/QC should be much much better...

All great innovations help improve something, I think relating to photography one has to decide cost against functionality..
Of course one must also take into consideration the type of photography in which One specializes ...

left eye: Count me out, the M's are only for right-eye photographers

...as are the x-pro & x100f, though possibly if anyone would - Fuji might - make a left-eye version.

I have various Leicas including the M-P240 Safari Set --
But I do NOT have a Right Eye.. A sincere apology is called for..

cshyde: So for eight thousand dollars you don't get autofucus?? Ithough the whole point of a rangefinder was to easily find the range to the subject. I guess the hundred or so one percenters who can afford one can also afford a tape measure to get their distance correct. Stupid millenials. Next they'll start shooting film because digital images offend them.

I use 3 helpers to take a pic:- 1 for distance :: 1 for Aperture :: 1 for telling where to point the camera...

A nice article, with M's one has to understand the limitations, with experience these limitations start to disappear.. Admittedly an AF DSLR will beat a M in certain circumstances, but overall and I must admit to having used M's from the M3 onwards, I miss very few shots.. I used my Nikon D90 @ a Rodeo (Virginia City) - still missed a few...

Woweee...Professionals have to cover insurance-experience-equipment and a whole host of other expenses..
When I lived in WA I advertised "Wedding Photography" at a set cost ($750.00) with the media cards immediately being given to the wedding couple to edit and print as they wished = minimal response!! Weddings @ $2750 a sell out..
Blame the buyers not the seller.........................

Dan Ortego: As a former Leica owner, this is a great addition although I believe it will be priced in typical Leica fashion.

Of course or it would not be a Leica..
But you don't have to buy IT""

Hi, first I signed up to be a field trials operative, never even got a response!
The cameras is best used in Surveillance so any area can be pulled into focus...
Overall it looks a little "kid like" -- and somewhat unprofessional!!
