panther fan: What is the appeal of APS-C DSLRs at this point? I mean mirrorless is all the rage, but I understand that some people like the plentiful cheap DSLR glass and OVF experience of DSLRs.
But neither apply to APS-C DSLRs. The viewfinder is tiny (0.51x), and there is almost no glass designed for APS-C available. With mostly FF lenses being adapted and performing rather mediocre on something they weren't built for.

In the sub-800-1000$ price range, you can find a ton of great FF DSLRs on the used/ refurbished market which are a much better pic

@Panther Fan, for me, just size and weight (and to retain EF-S lenses)!

I'm not sure - full frame mirrorless has definitely become much more accessible.

Personally, I still shoot APS-C DSLR because I've got a huge selection of lenses, and the cost of switching to mirrorless isn't worth the pay off yet. It's getting there though!

For others, I imagine the cost is still a huge factor. It's so much cheaper and easier to get into APS-C DSLR than ever before and they're more capable than what professionals had many years ago. For hobbyists or people just dipping their foot in the water, it's more than enough.
