Ugly colors and Jpg images. Panasonic still doesn't get it.

The 85 1.4G and the D850 seem to work very well together. And this 2nd batch of sample images starting to show what kind of fine results can be had with the D850. I would be interested in one the more that I see it. But I am one of those who has to try before I buy. Carey, show us more...... :-)

Favorable Exponynt: There is a rumor DJI has acquired Hasselblad. https://luminous-landscape.com/hasselblad-acquired-dji/

I wonder if the rumor means that we can expect to see a "Year of the Rooster" version of the X1D? :-)

The user interface is not really user unfriendly as you state. You just need to take the time to learn it. Once you have, it is very usable. More controls are not needed. It does not need to be either larger, or more complicated.

The pricing for this made in China lens is about double what it should be. Price it at $1295.00 and it will fly off the shelves. Nikon, the world is changing rapidly, swim, don't sink, please.

The R1 may be my favorite camera of all time. Just charged mine and used it again a few days ago. 10MP might not be "current" but this camera is still capable of making great images. The lens is perfect for the R1. Try one if you get the opportunity.

I like that the cameras can be mounted in angled positions, and not have to be lined up like toy soldiers in a straight line on the wall.

Looks like a copy of the Leica Stemar stereo lens from that era. I would love to have the opportunity to make some stereo images with this Nikon stereo set.

They will go belly up and try their scams again with a different name or scheme. Watch for them and do not patronize them.

It will be interesting to see this new Nikkor 105 compared with the Zeiss/Cosina 100 Sonnar, just for grins if nothing else. Yes the Sonnar is manual focus, but it would be the images that matter most in the end.

cdembrey: 3D is a dead horse, please stop beating it.

You can search stereo images on Flickr, which will show how they were done. Zoom lenses with adaptors have not been very successful. Some people sync digicams together. You could put dslr's together on a stereo bar. Some use the Pentax stereo adaptor, Zeiss also made one for the Contaflex system. You could try the Poppy 3D for an iPhone. Look up The London Stereographic Company. Look up the National Stereoscopic Association in the US, or the International Stereoscopic Union in Europe. The Fuji Real 3D camera could get you started as well. There is also a stereo forum here on dpreview that could help. Besides the cha cha, if you have a tripod your could use a stereo slide bar with a single camera. Or, a 1950's stereo camera with slide film and mount your own. Try a few, or all, and have fun with stereo.
