Livsimage: Happy 2018 !
Just pitching in some reader feedback here: Your studio test scene is not that great. Certainly not as good as the old one.
Additionally, reviewing new cameras in the studio scene with native lenses is pointless. Unless you use the same lens for each camera body it's a waste of time.
Regards.
Put an end to distrust and do a test, e.g., a Canon 5D mk IV with three lenses. Show us the impact of different lenses on the test scene.
Boeing skipper: I'm using a calibrating screen and the colours have a slight green/yellow tint.
Is this the lens or the camera?
Potential buying of an 7RIII.
Yellow tint (2)
Digimat: Beeing a Wedding, Couple and Familiy Photographer, that eye AF really gets me going and is something i would ditch my Canons for. however, i can also find pros and cons in any system and switching is just too expensive. because heck, i shoot great photos with that i have (and even had 8 years ago). but IF i would be in the position to buy a new system right now i would definitely give the A9 a shot. incredibly how fast sony progressed in the last years. the A7 was nice but just not feasible for me. but the A9...not bad sony. not bad.
Yes, eye AF is a game changer feature.
The pioneer advantage (business 101). Not always the best product wins.
I dont care about 4k ... but IBIS, sensor performance, touchscreen and Eye focus ..... well, It may be my first camera from Sony. Impressive !
CanonKen: So what is the kit lens? Does it come with a free bag and memory card?
UV filter also.
Great video, great picture and very informative ! Thanks !
Stepanfo: I dont know that much about art of photography but whats up with that woman with boob cut off ???
hummm armpits <3 .... lol

Ian Matyssik: Very well made video, thank you. Enjoyed every minute of it with no regard to the equipment used or talked about. That is probably how reviews should be, not about the gear, but what can be done with it (not the window, but what can be seen through it).
I second that !
Such a wonderful and inspiring video. Thanks !
Great video, great pictures and amazing composition. Thank you !
abdoozy: Other than questioning the choice of the LA-EA3 instead of the EA4 to adapt the 70-400 lens this is a reasonably objective review, that is absent the usual fanboi aspects either way. The observations are pertinent and interesting.
I wouldn't use my a7 for an NFL game. You have to know your system's limitations. There might be situations in which the a7Rii outperforms a Canikon DSLR, but you don't choose a platform for this kind of photography based on the ability to come through in "some" situations. You have to be able to nail the shot MOST of the time.
Sadly, the photos accompanying this article are crap. I don't know how much cropping was done. I'm guessing it was substantial. Between the noise and the crop, there isn't one image in that pile I'd even bother posting on FB if I was showing off the fact that I wrangled a press pass for a preseason game to my friends. Except maybe the cheerleaders. I sure wouldn't be offering them to a client or editor. And I say this as a A7 user.
I agree with you, the photos are crap.
No !
I want one !
Great article !!! Thanks.
I quite liked the website. Some great photographers, others less so (or just 1).
HowaboutRAW: Ednaz:
No matter who Maisel is he hasn't been shooting digital for more than 20 years, and there's no great digital "tradition" to shooting jpeg only.
Anyhow, white balance alone is enough to convince most to shoot raw.
RedFox88, this 10s of millions dont buy 'professional' 3k cameras.
Comazzi: Sony Alpha 7R II tested with a $ 1000 lens and Canon 5DS R tested with a $ 350 lens ? What ?
Yes.
