mr_marlo: Only if you're buying.
If you're selling it's boom time but I'd say buy a cheap compact and forget about the hyped-up 'top drawer' models. Honestly, I never rated the Oly mjull, the Ricoh GR1 or the Konica Hexar AF. I much preferred the (7x5) prints I got from my first 3MP Canon compact than the Hexar AF.
But I'm still wanting to buy that damned Leica M3!!!
Yes Leica M3 my dreams 👍📸
dpreview44: wow 120fps.. double the refresh rate of Fuji
HenryDJP Funny comparisons indicate a lack of knowledge :)
TwoMetreBill: Unfortunately sensors for traditional cameras vs smartphones, cars and IOT are both a trivial percentage of their business and unprofitable. Less than 1/10th of 1%. The sensor division has hinted that they plan to discontinue the camera segment of their product line unless it becomes profitable. As cameras are part of that division and also unprofitable... The A9 is a desperate attempt to increase margins and introduce profits, unfortunately there is too much wrong with that camera for it to be worth the asking price; just a modest improvement over the A7.
You can not believe what nonsense without any basis, some write ...
leewardism: I have to say, where would we be if Sony had not entered the DSLR realm, would we have even got to 14 megapixels by now?.
The camera Sony A900 24.4 megapixels sensor released on 2008 And of course the Nikon D3x had already sezor company Sony :)
Tomorrow will be the value of shares of Nikon 3% lower
Huawei P10 + is even better :) It has a F1.8 lens
Carerra: Why no Nikon mount anyone know?
Funny, since it is clear why Voigtländer only manufactures LTM lenses for the Leica M and Sony E.
Sony A6500 new shutter "Tested" is 200,000 cycles which is 25 percent more than ALPHA 7M2 , or A 6300 or FUJI XT2. This is not given enough attention ... so in testing both in terms of the value of the camera!
Richarddgjames: I have a Nex6 and a 18-200 Sony lens, a 400mm manual focus Sigma, and some inherited Leica M3 lenses which was why I went for the CSC in the first place. I enjoy taking surf photography but find the slow zoom focus means often missing the shot, and the Elmar 135 F4 shakes a bit too much. So the a6500 faster focus with the Sony lens and the IBIS with old lenses sounds attractive. Is there a better option than the 6500?
For old lenses Sony A6500 is an excellent choice as it has a camera stabilization. I'm with him gladly use the full range of manual CONTAX Zeiss lenses.
The camera Canon EOS M5 is at the level of the camera Sony A6000, but Sony costs 500 EUR :)
islandbob: Very steep premium price for the A6500. About a year ago I bought a second A6000 from one of the best-known online camera stores when the price was briefly dropped to $498 -- both as a backup and to minimize lens changing. I'd love to have the IBIS of the A6500 (IBIS was the main reason I went with Minolta once-upon-a-time) but not at that price.
A6500 IBIS is at least as good as the IBIS on A7RM2. Verified!
kobakokh: stabilization is very bad... In fact there is no stabilization... Overpriced! No really good lenses, or they are also overpriced. And all of that just for 300g less weight then for example, way better and cheaper Nikon D7200 with so many great lenses...
Funny, but always people who do not have the basics of photography write nonsense. A6500 far better camera than the Nikon D7200 that recording 4k do not even mention.
I can say as a photographer A6500 is an excellent camera.
Mateus1: Isn't a shame that best 2017 Sony APS-C brings poorest controls and ergonomic than most of Fuji, Panasonic and Olympus cams, even 4 years old?
Some say Sony A6xxx is an electronic toy that shouts "press , press my buttons" ... and I have to agree with that.
BTW, the images look flat compared to Fuji, Canon or Olympus renderings.
It is interesting. I had all the cameras from Nikon D300 to D800 and the Fujifilm Xe-2 and X-pro1. Sony A6500 is a great camera and I have no problems with the ergonomics of the camera. Funny comments from people who the camera nor owned and they do not know what the camera can do.
Sony is now the leader of the new top-level cameras. I do not know what to write about Fuji or Nikon old sensors ?
Fedupandenglish: Interesting to read that Park Cameras have a pre-order facility that shows a price of £2,500. Rather more than I had hoped for, but I wonder how accurate this is?
Tamron does not have a 105mm macro lens!
