Thanks for the heads up on off-loading from SD card. I normally leave the card in place and hook the camera to the computer via usb to upload the raw images to Faststone. So, now as I see it, I ...

Thanks, Graham. Got it, no problem.

Thanks for enlightening me, Nigel. Ya' know, logic is great, but if the original premise is incorrect, the logic goes out the window. You are absolutely right in that I incorrectly assumed that ...

I shot 80 raws and from the SD card, they were sent to a new folder in Faststone. While in Faststone, I selected 10 images and sent them to FRV (dropdown content menu in Faststone lists a choice ...

I do know how to use FRV, but my question is: Can one bring a few selected files from a folder that contains many files without bringing all the folder's files into the filmstrip? I'm finding that ...

My daughter and I disagree on which kind of bird this is. The image isn't sharp although I was using a tripod and remote shutter release. As the bird was very far away and high atop a very tall ...

Here are two shots of the same alligator that appears to be an albino, but isn't. I'd appreciate it if someone could point out what happened to the gator's color; and if it can be corrected. I ...

He was in the bushes and I've been trying to get reasonable images when there is "clutter" about. I think I was using Pinpoint on the gator. Also, been checking out FastRawViewer along with ...

My 2-cents as an intermittent middling photo hobbyist. I started out shooting only jpg and using Faststone as my editor. I didn't mind, or rather enjoyed, fiddling with editing; and, never gave ...

Thank you, Iliah. You have filled in some important points that will now allow me to more comfortably check out FRV.

Sherman has gotten me to look at FRV, and I have been fooling around with its trial edition (20 days left) and some of its tutorials. I think I am going to like this program to cull out RAWs. So, ...
