  • I think the Panasonic lumix 12-60mm or 35-100mm lenses would be good for your use. I have used the Panasonic 12-60mm kit lens for that sort of video work on a E-M5 II and GX85 and its a good lens ...
  • Which is better is subjective. If I were to choose for myself it would be the GX9 over the E-M10 III but the E-M10 IV over the GX9. For my GX85 the 20mm f 1.7 is on for most of my walk about ...
  • Years ago I bought my first OM-D ( E-M5.) reconditioned from the Olympus dealer a few towns over and they told me that some of the Olympus reconditioned cameras and lenses are used returns but ...
  • I did a wedding where just before the ceremony started some of the brides family decided it would be more romantic to close the window shades and turn off the lights in the church and have the ...
  • Replied in New to MFT
Thanks I didn't know that. I'm gonna have to pick up a few of them before they become harder to find.

Welcome to the club. I have the GX85 and no it doesn't have a mic input. I usually record the sound separately when I use it for video. I have the 20mm f1.7 pancake and it just about lives on the ...
  • You can buy replacement sync terminal caps either made by Olympus or a third party. https://www.getolympus.com/us/en/parts/sync-terminal-cap-7.html I bought a pack that came with a replacement sync ...
  • As far as Youtube I found Caleb Pike's channel DSLR Video Shooter very helpful when I started video with my GX85. I think most of the videos I watched he was using the GH5 and G85 but it ...
  • I'm not sure where I fit. Almost all the cameras I bought were under $1,000.00 USD and I tend to buy used, refurbished, open box or cameras on a good sale. I'd say most of my cameras at least the ...
  • If weather sealing is important to you the E-M5 II seals will be newer. The E-M5 II has hi-res mode which I like for landscapes. And the big thing for me is the E-M5 II has silent shutter while the ...

Sorry I didn't explain it well. The easiest example I can think of at the moment is when shooting the moon. I'll sometimes use 4/3rd lenses in manual focus because the Olympus 50-200mm SWD with the ...
  • I have the GX85 and still use it. But I'm one of the people who are effected by the EVF. At first I can use it for around a minute at a time with little to no problems but the more times I use it ...
  • Smallest MFT Oly ever made. Thats why I bought mine even though it is a bit old for a camera. But then I sometimes end up using lenses big enough to negate the smallness of the camera. I'd like it ...
  • Are the stills set to the same aspect ratio as the video? The E-M10 III's default still aspect ratio is 4:3 while the video mode is 16:9. Other than that the only things I know that would crop the ...
  • I don't know how much help I'll be. I use it sometimes but generally prefer to use the half press shutter button. The above video sets up BB focus with the E-M10 III and the E-M5 II. I don't use ...
  • That is disappointing. All though for me I can't think of any Sigma lens that meets a need that isn't already covered with native M4/3 lenses. I'd like to have M4/3 versions of some of the 4/3 ...
  • I think Sigma offers a mount conversion for their lenses. So say you have a Sigma lens in a Sony or Canon mount you can send it to them and for a price they can convert it to MFT.
  • Its a good lens. I got it because I was so used the 4/3 Olympus 12-60mm that I wanted a native M4/3 lens with the same range.
  • Adorama and Robert's ebay page. Never had any problems with them and they have good deals.
  • Bought several cameras, lenses and lights from them online. Never had any problems.
