Yes, really comprehensive. I have the 16-35, and won't be an early buyer of the 14-28, but it is on my wish list. I did really appreciate the comparisons to the 16-35.

Lots of good shots. In total it really gives the feeling of walking around Tokyo. My favorite is at 4:09. It seems like a peaceful place amid the hustle and bustle.

I agree with all that. Also CFExpress is leaning even more toward video, and less desirable for photography, and I expect Panasonic wants to maintain the appeal to photographers. Sony has a ...

It can vary by Panasonic's country site. Panasonic Australia has the full specifications for the S5IIX. The 519Mbps is for APS-C, C4K, 23,98p, ProRes 422. There are several other cases for ProRes ...

I think that's right, I was just looking at the Panasonic spec pages. I wish the S5IIX had a CFexpress B card like the GH6 instead of needing to go to SSD for ProRes.
-
Yep, I have it on preorder. Looks to be an ideal hybrid camera.

I have the SmallRig SSD holder for use with a GH6. It is not ideal, and yes, a battery grip with room for a SSD or something like that could be much better. I pre-ordered the S5IIx yesterday; ...

Same here. I've been hoping for BRAW with the GH6, but there is no sign it's going to happen. I prefer BRAW over ProRes RAW since I generally use DaVinci Resolve. But I can mostly live with ...

Hope you report on a lot of great gear you saw in Japan.

Nope, the Great Joy 35mm 1.8x doesn't have much flare. If you want it you'd need to add a flare filter. But the 85mm 1.8x in this review has flare, and a choice. I would choose blue, as is is...

Did you do the Queenstown Bungy Jump? (I watched my friends do it :-)

Good review, thanks. I got their 35mm 1.8x for GH6 video, and actually use it more for 1.8x photography.

This is really working well, I output TIFF, and then take it to Davinci Resolve to edit for HDR video. So far I have a short series of ocean waves crashing on shore, and am headed to Western...

Very interesting. I edit HDR video with an HDR display, so I tried this. It works well. I looked at some shots with large waves crashing into rocks, in bright sunlight, and you can get very good...

Nice postcard. For style it seems to me about half the walking should be toward the camera, not away from the camera. In these cases the camera would be pointed toward where you are coming from. A ...

Awful video from the GH6 with the overexposed background. It seems like Jordan forgot about V-log.
-
Got it. Yes, I use 120p on the GH6 for slow motion. That would great to have on a 5D II.
-
I have the GH6 and it has both of these. An S5 II should be able to do both. I use ProRes a lot but I'm not a big 60p user. What's the advantage?

Actually pretty nice. A good idea.
