I have three ideas:
1. Review sites could stop the "my phone is thinner than yours" trend by writing "thin enough" for every thickness less than 10mm. In the data sheet. And explaining why.
2. Samsung could make curved phone variants optimized to fit into certain pockets.
3. By having a better price.

On article Nikon V1 comparison shots added to dpreview database (220 comments in total)

I just compared to other mirrorless cameras at high ISO.
The Nikon V1 shots seem to be overexposed compared to other cameras.
This gives the Nikon V1 an advantage, because there is less noise in brighter areas with all digital cameras, and if you overexpose, there are more bright areas in the picture.
