  • Replied in It Ain't Pretty
You would piggyback on a Lens Changer or Skin like they've shown.  Also, I suspect the second lens could fit with the bottom expended, but it would be a pain in the behind to get to it though.  ...
  • AFAIK, E-TTL and HSS does not work with FP/Godox wireless remotes.  Direct connection seems to work fine, but most of their larger strobes can only be triggered wirelessly in E-TTL/HSS.
  • Replied in Manual Mode
If you really want 1/250 SS, why not using the manual mode? The screen says the x-sync is only 1/200 if you use mechanical shutter like I do.  Either way, Set the "Slow synchro" to 1/200 sec. ...

  • This is what's in it for a swim meet... (1) EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II (2) EF 200mm f/2L IS (3) EF 85mm f/1.4L IS (4) RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS
  • Would focus stacking or ND filter be better suited? f/32 is really not sharpness friendly in the small 24mm x 36mm format.
  • Not sure this is possible, as the sensor seems to need a lot of vertical line/contrast to AF.  I wish they can implement cross sensitive sensors like in their DSLRs, so the camera would be able to ...
  • Replied in BBF
This can be done today if you were to detach AF from the shutter button and use back AF-ON button to drive the AF.
  • Replied in Power Up Cost
Maybe the card check is an expensive or slow operation, so the camera is not doing that during off/on cycles?  I know in the old days, Canon DSLRs takes a while to power up, so it could be just a ...
  • https://www.canon.co.nz/explore/rf-lens-benefits Personally, marketing aside, I just hate carrying the adapter and its additional dimensions during shooting.  I have forgotten to bring the adapter ...
  • Replied in My Understanding
I think that is just a hint for the IBIS system when a lens does not report focal length.  Different focal length requires different compensation.
  • Replied in It's Slow
I have Adobe Lightroom subscription, but DPP is what I use. The skintone is just way better, especially in high ISO shots. I run both a Dell Alienware AMD Ryzen 9 3900 (12-Core) and a 16" MacBook ...
  • Replied in Not Elegantly
    Nice, and thanks for sharing.
  • Replied in One More Thing
The original 70-200mm f/2.8L IS is not razor sharp at f/2.8, so maybe it is just more obvious with the higher resolution R5.
  • I shoot sports, and often my subject is much further away than yours. The face/eye detection works well on the R5 IMO, but I almost always shot in AI Servo. If you used One-Shot, perhaps you've ...
  • It is my experience that, in DPP, there is a lot of secret sauce used for shots using RF 15-35 if DLO is on.
  • I do not agree both shots have the same focusing distance.  When I looked at the mid-frame of both, the sharpness ordering is reversed.  Also, what is 15mm vs 16mm looks like, as I think 15mm on ...
  • Thank you.  My Exposure Simulation is on that aperture thingy, just so I can see when using strobes.
  • Created question thread What Happened to My VF Histogram?
It is enabled in the Red 7 menu, "Shooting info. disp.", "VF info/toggle settings", but I don't see live histogram in my viewfinder.  I've tried both EF and RF lenses, but it shows up in the video ...
