  • This SDM is a new "SDM." It's the same type of motor found in the DFA*50 - a ring motor. Not a micromotor like in the DA*'s of old.

  • To be fair, Pentax cameras CAN shoot video. But video isn't their primary focus so they don't devote a whole divisions worth of resources into improving it much beyond what it is now. If you want...

  • It's a moot point. Everyone see's color differently. My green might be fractionally lighter than your green and my red might be fractionally more oversaturated than your red. Not in the camera but ...
  • So far, the sharpest/best lens/body combo I have is the Pentax K-3II and the Sigma 18-35/1.8 ART. I haven't tested it with PixelShift but so far it's the sharpest I have.
  • I'm in my 20s. Age distribution, at least in this poll, appears to be a standard distribution bell curve
  • I honestly hope that the new camera will have a true switchable hybrid OVF/EVF viewfinder. If it doesn't, that won't affect the fact that I still want this camera.
  • For me it's the Pentax K-3II. It just feels good in my hands. I enjoy holding the camera. If it doesn't feel good for me, I won't enjoy using it. The camera has great image quality and the menu ...
  • Whenever I've gone out, I've gone to areas that aren't frequented by many people. There are some places that I'd really like to go to right now but can't because I know that so many people still ...
  • Maybe try back button autofocus if you don't have it set? If you use the shutter button to focus then it might be refocusing when you press the shutter button. Either way, the lens refocusing is ...
  • Frankly I think the R5, like some other Canon cameras, just looks like a blob of curvy clay. Nothing special, they all look the same. I like the angled look of Pentax DSLRs.
  • I kinda am but I'm kinda not. I just bought a Sigma 18-35 Art because it was a great deal (have yet to actually see if the seller will come though) but I'm not trying to send anything unless I ...
  • Replied in Potato camera
I think the photos from my iPod touch, the first generation to have a camera, looked like those too.
  • Submitted a challenge entry Crow on a Railing
    Placed 64th in the challenge.
  • I took this earlier this night for the self portrait section of a photography class I'm taking. The professor wanted an additional picture so I shot this into a mirror I placed against a cabinet in a dark room. I originally wanted a different look but I didn't like how they were coming out so I decided to see what happened when I held my camera/lens/flash combo by my left side with the flash head point slightly up, behind and to the left. This is after post-processing with film emulation. Edited in RawTherapee.

  • 35.5mm diameter?? Or to fit a 35.5mm lens?
  • I am legally an adult, over 21, but not yet 25, so I'm not too sure. I've filed my own tax return in 2018-19 so I know that bit is covered. I know in terms of health insurance I'm still covered by ...
  • If you want to save some money, the older Sigma 50-500mm f4.5-6.3 OS is a pretty good lens. I usually stop it down to f7.1 or f8 to squeeze as much sharpness out of it as I can but it's pretty ...
  • If I get one, I'm going to use part of it to pay off a bit of my credit card then the rest into savings to save for the new Pentax APS-C flagship when it finally appears. I have no major expenses ...
