JS Burnie: Any changes to IBIS and fixing the random blurred photo issue?

Sorry, I should have said OIS not IBIS.

RootX: Marco Campelli : the renewed autofocus system does not miss a shot, even when shooting in fairly slow times, with a huge flair right in the lens. The performance was phenomenal.

Nice work. Very convincing!

Daft Punk: Very contrasty light and harsh brightness does not help these images.

As usual, DPR comments remind me why this forum is usually the last place on earth to learn from educated, constructive comments...

Wise up you whiners - this camera has essentially the same sensor as the Panasonic S1 I would wager, so results are going to be similar.

There is frankly little to learn or be informed by here. Just imagine a Panasonic S1 sensor in a camera that will slip in your jacket and you are done. Thats all it is - unless you are here for video, in which case this camera is something else entirely. It appears to be a beast in video spec.

"Just imagine a Panasonic S1 sensor in a camera that will slip in your jacket"

Sounds great!!!

JS Burnie: Maybe a little white balance problem in the cured meat shop?

I did a quick curve adjustment to the photo using the white price tags as a guide. I got much more normal skin tone. I agree, it was probably tough to achieve in camera without a WB checker.

JS Burnie: I just want a mirrorless D850.

I don't want to have to calibrate lenses to body.

JS Burnie: Orphaned lenses?

Hope you are right. But future lenses will likely have a new mount, correct?

Severe penalties must apply to protect the treasures of the U.S.

I had the pleasure of visiting Death Valley and would never want to see it sullied. The U.S. national park system is a wonderful legacy for future generations. Why would you not do everything you can to protect it?

If only Sony had put at least a moderate zoom on this, e.g. 35-70mm. Maybe RX1R III?
