More or less....yup.

(unknown member): Lots of misinformed people here. Yes, the shots are the same, but it's not because it's inevitable that if enough people take enough shots at the same place, they will look similar. It's because they're trying to emulate shots they saw on Instagram.

This "monkey see, monkey do" is not a new phenomenon in art. There was an art instructor from the 19th century who complained about this problem, about how whenever a painter made something famous, hordes of painters would flock to that location to make the same picture. For example, as soon as Monet's haystacks became popular, everyone and their mother rushed to the exact same fields he did.

So yes, there is genuine imitation going on in these photos. The problem, as so many others have pointed out, is that it's having a negative impact on a mass scale. In the 1700s, 1800s, etc., the worst that would happen is maybe 20, 30 people at the most swarming a site. Now it's thousands, and at the expense of residents and ecosystem.

Some imitation, not necessarily all. I'd wager that that vast majority aren't.

That and why wouldn't they take them? Many of them are iconic spots. The article/reason given makes no sense but the video is great.

Sam808: Not a good camera to shoot video. Only 4k at 15fps.

In other words, there's no other APS-C camera with 4K at $600.

Entry level. It fine. Is there another modern APS-C $600 with better 4K options? Panasonic's doesn't even do 4k video, and no manual video.

It may not happen until this tech is better and the cameras are cheaper but down the road, I can totally see some people would choice having a few of these cameras at the kids party or even wedding, instead of hiring a pro for photos / video.

Right. 3 that haven't happened and another 100,000 that weren't predicted that did. The reasons people give here are reasons why it's not done TODAY. Not 20 years from now. Obviously nobody can predict the future but you'd have to be a fool to not see it as a reasonable possibility. "They're too loud" 😂😂😂

Too loud "now" is key. I'm not saying it WILL happen, but if you don't think it might happen you haven't been paying attention very well.

And expect most places to not really give a crap.

Guess you don't allow cameras at all into your house or business. Regardless, I don't think the main intention of this thing is to be worn, from what I've read.

You might be massively surprised. Look how far tech has come in the last 20 years. Huge strides.

Right, the III was a big step up in sharpness.

That hi-iso pic in the bar really nails it for G7X. Easy easy win there. Look at the massive amount of noise in the guy's grey sweater and surrounding areas.

Anybody who's not scared of the Chinese is simply naive. They are coming to own it ALL. and are making massive strides. The most terrifying videos I've seen are all Chinese. People think Black Friday in USA makes "us" look bad... My God. https://youtu.be/XCjOrkcEvs4 . Even in the worst, most ghetto cracked out hoods in the US you wouldn't see anything near this terrifying puke of humanity.

You're fooling yourself if you think that. They are snapping stuff up like this left and right. Off the top of my head - Motorola, GE, Lenovo, Volvo, GE, Hoover, Blackberry..

Yup, made in China. I'm guessing a Chinese company will buy the brand and continue the product line... Maybe even start with drones again. Good for an ambitious up and comer wanting to compete with DJI. As to the current staff etc... That I don't know.

panther fan: No IBIS. What are they thinking?

Yea GH5 still exists... Without the new sensor and improvements.... Totally bizarre they nixed the IBIS for the given reason when it can simply be set to off if using a gimbal or dolly.
