Deleted pending purge: All great shots, sure. And I guess it wasn't easy to pick the winners. To my eye, the second one isn't quite top-notch, because of cadring...
Anyway, congrats to the winners... Don't spend it all in one place ;)

I would prefer Krisna Murti's charger gratis image too as it conveys quite literally the need to connect but she might just as well be playing angry birds.

marike6: Why not just have a product image in black? I know there's a trend for fun colored bodies in this segment, but I would be nice to see better product shots, particularly in classic black.

D5200 Sample Images from Nikon France on Flickr do look impressive.

Why JPEG? because most people interested in the camera will not be bothered with RAW

Also hope nikon changes the auto ISO behaviour which isn't very intuitive on the D5100 IMO.

I would think a dedicated iso or metering button would be more useful compare to drive in that location. Let's hope its a customisable one.

Gothmoth: at least it will not cost an arm and a leg like canon latest cameras and lenses.....

Price printed at a Japanese site states body only is ¥90,000 which roughly equate to 1.1k US. Seems to be more expensive compare to D5100 when it's first launch no?

Ivan Azzopardi: I dont think about real or fake as i do not agree with photo editing software unless it is traceable. Some people say it is creativity but i still dont agree. Thats what comes out you cannot determine real from fake not even in competitions magazines and even newspapers. Photography is ruined with photo editing software. Good luck digital artists !!

What irony reading this kind of comments in a digital photography forum. To think philosophically, the art of photography is itself a manipulation of perception. It's about capturing what the mind sees and not what the camera sees. If the mind is limited by what the camera sees, what art is there to be explore?

Elaka Farmor: XZ-2, LX7, S110, P7700. All very similar image quality. Choosing between these is more about personal preference, thats it.

If you want another compact with better IQ and higher resolution than these above, there is camera for that too.....

What about samsung? didn't they release a EX2 with a F1.4 lens too?

sonnytev: My old, old and dented Fujifilm FinePix f30 takes sharper pictures than this new Oly. what gives?

If you haven't notice, this is shot in dramatic tone filter.

Besides if you're so happy with f30 just stick with it. Just like i'm sticking with my E3

Thanks for this. Seems the superzoom to beat is still the long forgotten Panasonic LEICA 14-150mm for 4/3
