It was taken during a short stop off a tour bus. The driver was giving us too short a time at every stop to set up correctly for anything more than a phone camera snapshot. He was incessantly...

This is a real home/cabin I found up a narrow road into a mountain. This room, with the fireplace, has 3 walls demolished. This is the view you'd get from the road. behind the fireplace, there is actually another room. A guy and his dog lived there. I met the guy. At one point, there was a dining table in this 'open space' room. To get to the home from the road, you'd cross over a 10-feet or so deep creek via a tiny make-shift bridge. In reality, I found this 'home' quite romantic with the forest setting around it. At the same time, it is rather haunting. The area is quite damp and it's almost in constant shade. When the sun-ray peeks through, it's quite the scene. The home had been demolished since I took this photo. I entered a variation of this photo into a local photo exhibition, and called it 'The Pleasant Haunt.' I was told by the Exhibit Attendant that it spooked some people, and it received the longest stops/stare in the exhibit.
