Not so bad as an intro camera for 7-8 year olds. I think kids would like it. Other than that I can't think of anyone else who would use it.

This is easy to fix...just turn the power dial to the off position...works every time!

Thank you panther fan, that makes sense...not sure why the review doesn't mention that. Still a pity about the AF in video, but you can't have everything, though dpreview does say Canons video AF...

Of course the AF is what I'm aiming at. This camera is marketed to the enthusiast who may want to shoot video with AF. So again, why put in video that us not usable for this segment. Makes no sense...

If the video is "unusable" what is the point of even including it? It has the same video as d500, so is d500 "unusable" as well? I'd like to upgrade my d300....but video would be nice. D750...
