bolt2014: When are we going to put this film VS digital to rest? Film is film and digital is digital.

I am not choosing one format over the other as I shoot both. I just think that enough has been said about which is , take your pick, better, more artistic, antiquated etc.

bolt2014: When are we going to have reviews of sub $200 tripods?

moTmeN, Have you tried them? That's the reason for reviews of such items, to find the gems among that price range.

Consider that many cell phone users get their cell phones "free" or at a vastly reduced price if they sign a contract for 2 years .

There are a many excellent tripods out there that cost less than $250.00. Maybe the reason why dedicated camera sales have declined so much is the high cost of much of the camera gear today. Maybe newbies decide to use a cell phone instead because they cannot afford today's cameras and gear. I personally think that most "brand name" accessories are overpriced.

bolt2014: Why not compare some of the cheaper more affordable Chinese tripods?

Well K&F Concept tripods have been around for awhile and I know several other brands have also. I also know that it would be impossible to review all of them but picking out maybe three or four would be of help. I'm sure with a little research it might be possible to determine the three or four that are produced by different companies.

The tripods reviewed here cost almost as much as my Fuji XT3! I'm not a professional photographer as well as a lot of other viewers here and trying to justify tripods as expensive these are just not in our budget. I have looked at the reviews on Amazon (Yes, I know about fake reviews) and many of the ballhead tripods under $100 have mostly favorable reviews, but there are so many different brands that it would be very helpful for someone that we trust to review them.

Jeff Peterman: If you think that the lens is too slow, you could always get this version, only a little heavier and a little more expensive (if you are very liberal with "little):

I see a generation of photographers coming that will have absolutely no incentive to learn how to see creatively. Just snap the shutter and the camera will do everything for you.

Over $300 for a Leica lens hood! You can buy a decent point and shoot camera for that!

On article Fujifilm X-H1 Review (1584 comments in total)

I think that people who are drawn to Fuji cameras are more interested in the experience that Fuji offers, not the price or specs. Those of us who were brought up on film SLR's miss being able to have dials and buttons to take control of producing a photo. Yes, I know that you can program certain buttons to control iso, shutter speed and f-stops but it's not the same as having a dial with all those adjustments with actual markings that are immediately available at a glance.

That is why I switched to Fuji from Nikon. The experience of using my Fuji X-T30 takes me back to an era when I was shooting my Nikon F3HP, which I found to be a more contemplative experience.
I find Fuji cameras remind me of an era of mechanical cameras but with a technological heart.

bolt2014: I would rather have buttons and dials than have to go through menus. That's one of the reasons I switched to a Fuji camera.

Good or bad ergonomics are only relevant to the person who is using the camera.
