That makes sense, thank you. Easier to manual focus handheld than a gimbal for me. So tripod might work best

The FX30 has a newer better screen. Tried cranking up the detail. Maybe if the FX3 had a desqueeze feature it would make things easier Thanks for the comments!

I used a 35mm anamorphic lens on my Sony FX3 for the first time. I'm getting extreme wobbles on the frame sides. I was using stabilization, without active. Is it a no go using stabilization with ...

If the plan is 2 lenses, the 24-105 f4 and 35GM make a very versatile kit. The best hiking lens right now imo is the 16-35PZ. If I were looking to shoot landscapes day/night I'd pair that with the ...

You're missing the whole of DaVinci on the iPad.
-
The iPad should run in tandem with the cloud editing feature. So you're using their proxies on the iPad and when you go back to the desktop the changes are there in your project.
-
To those complaining about the interface...the desktop version is the same and overwhelming. I've used DaVinci for a bit and it's still a lot. It's a pro-caliber program. The majority of people...

Was there last November. The 20mm is a great lens but think you'd be better off with the 16-35 f/4 for its versatility. First thought about your trip screams wide angle, but you'll be surprised ...

Damn. I guess I should have said I have a Mac. Thanks anyway though.

So I picked up an FX3 and it is running firmware 1.01. I went to the Sony website and the latest is 2.01 but you are not able to download it because they say it's not working properly. Therefore ...

These are obviously made for drone & gimbal use. Breathing isn't a issue

I have both. The 35 is a touch smaller. Both use the same hood or filters. They render pretty much the same imo. Both sharpen up nicely stopped down a little. I really like them both and use them ...

I've been a bunch. Last one I went on I took two different bodies with the 70-300 and the 16-80. The 70-300 performed very nice. The only issue I had was with haze coming off the water. Made some ...

Does the FX30 desqueeze In camera?

From someone that has a new FX30, I like seeing examples with different lenses and settings. If you don't like a post, move on to another one. Are you the DP Review Karen? Get a life.

Wonder if the 10-20mm has the same quality. Though the FE produces a nice 24-50 range.
-
Thanks for posting. I was eyeing this lens for just this purpose. Any focus issues of note?
-
This doesn't happen on my 16-80

Why in the world would you buy this lens for studio work? It's basically a video lens.

24.2MP is a sweet spot. Manageable files, better lowlight performance and ability to print decent sizes.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
