I don't think Nikon is designing / selling cameras that overheat while shooting stills. I ordered my Z6 on the launch week and it has not overheated once. Also I've been on this Z forum weekly ...

@mikegt maybe you need to check the specs with a little more focus. M1 Ultra's memory is made of 32 channels. It leads to a memory bandwidth of 800GB/s. Most PC's have 2 or possible 4 channel...

@lauma That is actually tested not to be true.

Sorry but you got it wrong. All wrong.

Have you tested image capture? It’s built-in to MacOS and super easy to use. Should work with USB-C to USB-C cable

As the Winter Olympics are just around the corner I think this lens is far more important to all Z shooters at the Olympics.

As you are using the 24-70mm lens, I would zoom it in to 35-40mm, turn the camera to vertical position and shoot a panorama. You would get a lot of more details in those distant buildings. Also a ...

Just check the older expedition videos from Morten. He is using his Z6/D5/D850 in conditions where most people wouldn’t even go out, let alone skiing in extremely remote locations. Alone.

-
probably is but while on playback but not when AF is active as it drops the resolution and has some other hickups. It also drops the size if you do faster frame rates
-
May or may not be faster. I guess it depends on the application and workflow. M1max has almost 10 times more memory bandwidth than the setup you mentioned. Also the M1max is faster on tasks that ...
