This may be too much of a niche question for anyone to know the answer to, but here goes. The recent strong aurora in the northern hemisphere has got me wondering about the best way to capture it. ...

@jordan drake I think the R5ii C is going to be a great camera! Regards to Gordon!
-
The R5 C is clearly a capable camera, but I don't think it is going to be remembered favorably. For example, you can't record 4K120 without plugging it in to a power adapter because the battery...

I did try that. Did you use the standard files app or a third party one? The apple files app basically shows only a few folders, and very few related to apps.
-
I looked at the online manual and it doesn’t mention a way to do it.

This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to delete all images from Snapbridge at once? I have small JPEGs automatically transferring from the Z9 to Snapbridge on my iPhone. The problem is ...

Great. Then why doesn’t one of the developers spend the day adding shutter angle to the video mode to stop all the complaining?
-
I kind of understand why Canon and Sony don’t do shutter angle ( to protect their cine camera sales) but it is infuriating that Nikon doesn’t offer it. It seems incredibly easy to add it as an...

I haven’t found a good way to do it. It would be nice if Nikon enabled USB support but I doubt that it will be soon. i think bringing a laptop or buying a couple of cards is probably the way to go. ...

I wonder how a relatively loaded M2 Max would handle 8k RAW video from the Z9 in Davinci Resolve? Can 96GB of unified memory even be fully utilized by Resolve?
-
They can charge actual pros $6k for a laptop instead of $2500 - probably $2k of that is pure profit as they make most of the components. They also need to compete with the professional lines that...

Nikon need to make the tinniest FF camera body they can now. Cameras are so reliable now that carrying 2 gripped bodies doesn’t really make sense to me. I could quite happily use my Z9 for serious...

Do you still have to pay France to publish a picture of the Eiffel tower at night?
-
It’s nuts that a photographer has to pay to enter a competition. Surely there are enough companies that want to greenwash their operations by paying a few thousand to sponsor a landscape...

I haven’t used it on a Z50, but the Tamron 150-600mm G2 is an excellent lens that is used by a lot of very talented wildlife photographers. I have one myself and I think I would be unwilling to ...

+1 They clearly have the technology from the drones. It’s weird that they haven’t done it yet. I think it would sell in incredible numbers. Give it a reasonably fast aperture and you can take a...

Also, saying that film photography is more “pure” and more like the “real art” of painting is also a pretty warped argument. Most of the great works are a result of hundreds of sketches and many...
-
@muskokaphotog “serious photographers learn to feel the light” “using film connects a photographer with the origin of photography” “film is going to demand a process and discipline not possible in...

I couldn’t disagree more. Thanks for patronizing all modern photographers with the standard “film is the only pure photography” nonsense. And the risk of loss is absolutely incorrect. I can take...

I’m not going to be buying either anytime soon, but I’d like to see a comparison between the 400 2.8 with TC enabled and this lens. It’s pretty close in terms focal length at the same aperture. I’d...
