Is the file you downloaded from Fuji a zip file? I know that is the format for at least one of their lens firmware updates.

Nice to see some additional positive input. Using on-camera flash is probably not something  many photographers can claim a very high level of expertise.

Well, on my X-T20 I take  photos using the EC dial to change the exposure of each shot. tbsteph

Neither aperture or shutter speed need to be changed. Taking several photos using a different exposure (EC) is the technique. tbsteph

That’s exactly what I did about a year ago (X-T20). Seems to be working just fine  No scratches  No noise that I can hear but, 73 year old ears😳

Really - burning hands and more noise from black cameras. Not sure the major manufacturers are aware of these issues.

FWIW, my first visit to the zoo was in the late 1950’s as a teenager. Look up Rosy - she was the zoos first elephant.
