  • Did you rebuild your catalog? I recently did that moving to a new machine, not thinking that it was going to build 50,000 previews. Chewed up 200Gb before I killed it and deleted all previews.
  • Launching from LR, but it's usually the first launch of Topaz, but since it doesn't happen every time, there must be some local differences. I'm strongly leaning toward dng format being the common ...
  • First use. Need to spend some time with the docs, but this is a 15sec edit on a dark corner of an image. Interestingly, the main part of the image, which was much better lit, but still a little ...
  • Yeah, I didn't get the email (or the one for AI Sharpen either), but the link and instructions worked fine. Logging into the site, just gave me an option to buy or trial. I assume, if I had ...
  • The short answer to your question is no. LR will ignore empty folders. I just re-did my catalog and there were several empty folders. I had to move a file in them, sync, then move them back out again.
  • Thanks. Great tip. Got it Monday. Still loading data and tweaking, but everything is very fast so far. Thanks for the LR tip.
  • Sorry, meant Topaz Studio. Yes, tried reset, but also confirmed there were no adjustments made inside of Topaz. I think it only happens with a DNG file, but it only happens about 10% of the time, ...
  • Created discussion thread Strange Color Cast in Topaz
Doesn't happen every time, but frequently, when I open an image in Topaz, it looks like image on left. Any ideas?
  • One thing I would suggest, when/if you get ready to try it for sure. See if they will grant you another trial. Spend the 30 days and really get into it. It's not something you can get a good look ...

I will likely be getting a 4K laptop soon. Currently, during the day, my 1920p laptop is connected to a 32"1920p external. Will I have problems running the new laptop on this, or will it just scale ...
  • There is a program I used for a bit called ProcessLasso, that helped limit resource hogs, but I don't remember if it handled memory or just CPU.
  • Thanks, that helps a lot and is the kind of information I am looking for.
  • Others may chime in, but I was researching flow between the three programs recently, and I think the suggested order would be Sharpen, Clear, then Gigapixel. Having said that, you may want to try ...
  • Created discussion thread Looking for opinions for new laptop
Looking for opinions on this laptop. Primarily for Capture One and Lightroom Processor & Memory: (1) Intel® Coreā„¢ i7-8750H Processor 2.2GHz (2) 32GB DDR4 ...
  • Created discussion thread DNG files in Topaz
Has anyone had problems with DNG files in Topaz. A few weeks ago, I was trying to run a batch of images through AI Clear and they all had a faded, greenish tint. The next day, I didn't see the ...
  • And even better, I learned from another thread here that I was entitled to a free copy of Sharpen AI since I had purchased InFocus.
  • From what I've seen, I may jump on that anyway. I'll decide after this exercise. But it turns out, her originals are 4000x3000, so I'm good. She wants a 30x30, so between the fact that the images ...
  • Thanks, I had forgotten. Actually 45 days. I'm heading to her house now to look at her camera and computer. I'm hoping they downsized it somehow. My first digital camera shot 640x480 in '98
  • Thanks. Part of it is, I don't own Gigapixel yet, so wanted to get an estimated range before I went down that road.
  • Created question thread Gigapixel or Similar
Trying to do a favor for a friend who just lost her husband. They have a decent point and shoot, but apparently set the image size to 640x480!?! Using Gigapixel and whatever other magic tricks I ...
