I too thought it was a video test of the camera shooting moving subjects. But I'm always looking for something with global shutter-like qualities so I guess that is what popped in my head

Only read the headline: "everyday I say speed-up": Well that explains the QC issues.

Later: I could only read the first handful of questions before almost barfing. He has nothing to say.

Remember, this is for a single backup copy, so don't wipe the card unless you bought two of them or already copied the card somewhere else as well.

I would hope this would have some sort of index feature like a proper ingest (think PhotoMechanic) so it knows not to copy files it has already copied.

That would make it useful for making a quick backup of images shot with a camera with only one card slot.

Maybe they meant "I've had it", as in "I've had enough of this!"

Love how I just installed LR from Adobe Cloud this morning and upon launching the product I am told there is a 750MB update available. So much for the claimed benefit of Cloud Subscription slipstreaming the updates. Same thing happened with Photoshop CS6, the latest ACR, etc, 200MB, updates were needed

i admit I've only skimmed a couple hundred comments but I've only seen one which mentions the real problem: auto focus system equivalent to LiveView on the T4i system which is still a long way away from being usable. See the M specs: Contrast Detection (sensor). I tried the T4i system for three weeks and focusing in liveview is still not ready for prime time

viking79: I like how it out performs all the best L glass at 40 mm, of course you give up the added range. Looks like a winner for $200.

I was surprised to read it has faster AF than the 85mm f/1.2.

Dannyboy292: People that use phones as cameras are funny, the photos are almost always pixelated, blurry, noisy ,unprocessable, uncropable your self a favor and at least use a good little point and shoot, at least you can crop and mabey even print a photo to hang up on you wall.

Dannyboy292: Use an iphone 4 for a couple months and you will understand

A google search found this on a Flickr forum and I think it is pretty accurate for how Lightroom is different

From their website:

Lightroom excels at processing large volumes of photographs, creating the perfect negative, and outputting collections to web, print and slideshows. Photoshop remains the ultimate pixel-level, individual-image-editing and compositing application.

For example, you may have 2,000 photographs and need to quickly preview, sort and rate them, embed your copyright on each, correct white balance, change tonal and color values, and make monochrome copies (or add a wide array of other special effects). Then, you need to output to slideshow, print or web, and all under the pressure of time constraints. For this common type of photographic workflow, Lightroom is the ideal solution.

I will add LR makes images that look like photos, while PS and PSE go beyond that to do the "trick" stuff
