The 16-50mm is as good as the 18-55mm in my experience of owning a few of the former and one of the latter. There is copy to copy variation like usual with kit zooms. Sounds like the 18-55 has ...

56mm f1.7. Preferably locked on f1.7.

40 years after cars became mainstream there wasn't any airbags. Now they are in every car and save hundreds of thousands of lives. Just because you have no faith in humanity and the innovations we ...

I haven't used it, but have seen some glowing reviews as I seriously considered it. There was one avaliable for a good price but some people have had issues with adapters and being in Vietnam, the ...

Try reading the post properly. You are old enough to understand it. π But it has later been revealed that a Fuji pancake couldn't be that small. The visual someone posted of an f2 being in between ...

Sorry for replying to so many posts (I am at least minimizing the quotes), but this thread is turning out to be quite useful. I had no idea the 27mm had this issue. I was already a bit down on it ...

Agreed. This thread has made me realize that if I buy the 10-24mm, I must try before buying, whereas I am happy to buy the WR Fujicrons online and even used online, with no returns allowed (unless ...

Great point. This would lessen the blow if they also did it with XC lenses and 1st 27mm as I sometimes hit the wheel. At f22 or f16 you are far more likely to ruin the shot. Bad design by Fujifilm .

Agreed. I was looking forward to the Sigma 30 f1.4 but that ain't happening (at least in the foreseeable future), so a 27mm f1.4 would be a nice alternative. But I would prefer they tried to make ...

Naaa, I find this thread useful, but definitely in the top 3 worst threads for Fuji fanboys who can't take criticism of their beloved gear. πππ

An ~f2.8 70mm might be a bit unappealing. Like others have said the 60mm f2.4 is very good and surely focuses nice and fast now on the X Trans 4 bodies, like the other two first lenses. Then the ...

There aren't any FX mount lenses with a focus tab so here is one with a tiny adapter in case you don't want to add a tab yourself to a lens (the cheapest rubber tabs don't have very solid glue)... ...

15-45mm because of the annoying power zoom and it doesn't work properly on many models. 16-55mm I haven't used and won't because of the weight and cost. Compared to the new Sigma 18-50mm f2.8, it's ...

Thanks for sharing. It was extremely easy to pick out the f2's photos. For $599 it is a crazily overpriced lens and with that in mind, I can understand why a certain vlogger hates it so much. I ...

Agreed. Sigma not mentioning Fujifilm when launching this lens is a bad sign. It might be the reason I switch to Sony for video. Plus the 56mm for portraits. A marked exposure compensation dial on ...

35mm f1.4 as it will give you blurry backgrounds and is a normal, middle ground, versatile focal length. You can use it for portraits, street, general photography, plus anything at night will ...

Sadly I agree. Fujifilm are going the way Nikon did with their retro camera this year i.e. it didn't have the most important manual control: an aperture ring on the lens. Making it a joke/toy imho. ...

Fuji is rocking it in Vietnam. Nearly always first in shops and online the most prominent. The old Canon DSLR camera guys at a tourist hotspot are getting salty. One just did a sarcastic " hellooo ...

Purple and green fringing at f1.4 is very strong. But it doesn't bother most people according to reviews online. Happily sold my 56 yesterday. Used to have the 50 which was great. A used 50 isn't ...

Fantastic shot. Feels much more than just a guy sat down with all the lines and whatnot π
