I go to the exposure tab, and then look at the exposure values at the bottom of the page, and use that value for my exposure. This was no moon, which they don't list, but I figure it's around -7 ...

Placed 3rd in the challenge. Used my backup Sony a6000 and Sigma 16mm f/1.4 lens to capture Mt Hood and night, when this object flew over. Not sure what it was yet, I have never seen anything like it before. Kind of looked like a meteor, but left a contrail and went from horizon to horizon. Adjusted highlights shadows a little dehaze and a brightness mask in the grasses to brighten them up to look more like the scene did.
