On photo Journey into the past second edit in the The third dimension (depth) and chat. challenge (9 comments in total)

i like both too, maybe the first abit more.i liked the contrast between dark green and the light, while colors here are more balanced, but this is against the atmosphere.

better this way, though the sky could be even more threatening..it reminds me of the storm sequences of the first Jurassic Park!

interesting shot, there is depth with all these columns..the symmetry because of the reflection works well.i would crop the blue car down.

clever shot with vivid colors that match.the problem is the running man that is out of place,he doesnt belong to this shot and that the geese are headless!

we see some depth here..but this effect could be even more obvious under other circumnstances, for example if you could take a shot of the wall from a very close distance and watch it getting smaller in the depth.
i would saturate this shot,i think it needs more blue sky and greens.

it suits the challenge.i would reduce contrast, there are strong darks and whites.

i really like this shot.the b/w works well, the snake-shaped anti-wave wall gives successful perspective..it makes my eyes follow the line to the left and want to see where does it end

interesting picture, evident depth of field because of the bridge..but i would prefer the bridge to have a more apparent role in the picture.
From this particular angle of this shot,we see a bridge out of nowhere,it does not have actual part in the shot.

we see depth here..but is this enough?
i think the effect of the third dimension is stronger when we see continuous objects or lines.

On photo St- Prix in the The third dimension (depth) and chat. challenge (13 comments in total)

the lanterns give succesful view of perspective..the sky is a bit burnt in my opinion, maybe you could saturate it a bit..and i would also crop the leaves in the left, they dont add something to the photo..

You feel the depth but the result is not exceptional.I agree with John, saturate it or turn it into b/w..this in-between situation doesnt work i think :)

B/W is better choice than color,i like the composition too with the columns and the horizontical line in the font..
Mayne i would crop it from the left exactly where the first columns is.

people getting smaller and wide angle with the ships "looking" in different directions work well.lively colors add to the result.

i like the symmetry and the gate-shaped frame. The colors are balanced but the shadow in the ground is annoying to my opinion..i would crop it :)

i know i m not the first to mention this, but i also prefer it with more cropping..besides that i like the view, the bare trees and the sun behind, nice composition.
