Carl: Presbyopia does not permit me checking images on the LCD (on a fast manner). Thats why I need an EVF. Probably the dpr staff members are too young to have this problem...
I think it's a very relevant consideration
The countries that oppose to gay rights

According to Wikipedia, Turkey is part of the Middle East http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East and a transcontinental country located mostly in Asia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey
Intrepid traveller: you said everything taken in Lisbon was acceptable, then you shouldn't reject my photo of one of it's main statues. Everyone that goes to Lisbon takes a photo of it while they are there. That is not what that statue represents, that is your bias, if you apply your rule then 95% of photos of statues would have to be rejected from any competition. I request you re-instate my photo to the competition.
I agree, it is a picture of Lisbon, but please read me again, it also has been interpreted as a political statement and such statements are not admissible.

Yes, perhaps there is a genocide behind several of so called “historical monuments” “and a political statement glorifying a criminal system”. I did not receive a single complaint in the challenge of China that is why I did not disqualify any picture.

Hi! Your work submitted to the challenge city of Lisbon - Portugal "Follow Me" has been interpreted as a political statement and such statements are not admissible accordingng to dpreview rules. Personally, As an American, I find this monument disrespectful toward the native American people given the genocidal consequences of the European invasion of America it commemorates. Please, do not insist anymore. Thank you. Yours, fotografiasol
mariomirabile: Does the image need to show the sun, or are just the effects of the sunset light acceptable?
The picture does not need to show the sun.
Jiri SEDLACEK Mr: Is VATICAN included?
Yes.
TOMSDPR: Hi fotografiasol,
in the rules you are requesting:
'The picture must show something about a sunset and something about the countryside, a small town or a village outside of a big city.'
Only two of the entries up to now are coming close to meet the rules.
How are you planning to handle this?
Cheers,
Tom
Hi! From my point of view the pictures are complying with the rules. Yours, fotografiasol.
(unknown member): Not a great contest when it fills up the day it starts. Dissapointing.
“Sunset in the beach IV” is coming in the near future, be ready!
Please, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumbai
I am sorry; “Bombay” is the former and the Spanish name of the city of Mumbai.

Is this the work of the poster? The description would indicate that it was taken by Mr. Bruno Battaglia and if he is not the person who posted the image then it should be removed from voting.
Please clarify the situation as I really like this image, but can not vote on it at this time.
Thanks ~ Kipper
There is no specific rule on the matter.

In relationship to lighting there are no specific rules, nerveless it is clear “The picture must show something about a sunset”, so the natural lighting from a sunset must be seen in the picture. I believe the clouds of this picture show the typical lighting of a sunset, no matter what the EXIF data reveals that the picture was taken at 15:10:38.
So, that’s why in my opinion the picture "Devil's Washboard" of my challenge “Sunset in the beach II” is the legitimate winner.
Is my decision a perfect one? Of course not, because I am not perfect and I have not all the information. Sensors give us pictures full of noise without all the information, but this is not precluding us to love, buy and use cameras again and again, we accept the noise.
Thank you for your interest in my challenges, for your nice submission and votes.
Yours, fotografiasol.

Hi! First, I need to apologize due to my ungrammatical English language. Take into account I speak Spanish and English is a foreign language to me.
I see the wining picture "Devil's Washboard" of my challenge “Sunset in the beach II” has been questioned in the comments section and in the forum. In consideration of other participants I want to explain my point of view.
I never received a single formal complaint for this submission.
Due to a very asymmetric histogram of the votes, I took action during the voting phase and to my best knowledge possible - given the big limitations the anonymous voting system impose - I understood the votes were legitimate.
In relationship to possessing, the rules says: “Please, feel 100% free”, so in this regard the picture is ok no matter what the process it has, as several dpreview members has already pointed out. I do not know for sure if this picture is a composite or not, but any case is allowed. Please, see the next comment.
Joel dc: consider increasing the number of entries, gets full really quick
“Sunset in the mountains III” is coming in the near future
Rajamurthy: Dear host,
Is Versilles Palace considered Part of Paris or Not, pl. clarify.
Thanks
Pictures taken in La Défense were disqualified!
M1L0U: Why Versailles would be a part of the city of Paris ??
I guess Versailles Palace is not part of Paris.
