Am I missing something but can't the same be done with screen mirroring of a tablet or smartphone running the mobile lightroom app?

darngooddesign: "Both are centered around the same 2.36 million-dot OLED display"

I believe the Pro2 is LCD while the T2 is OLED because you can't use polarized sunglasses with the Pro2 unless you tilt the camera a little. The same was true in regards to the Pro1 and T1.

I switched from X-T1 to X-Pro2 rather than wait for the X-T2. This was only because I had a chance to use an XP2 which confirmed that the form and handling were better for me. Therefore it is not really possible for anyone to be certain that they prefer the X-T series ergonomics unless they spend proper time using both. I consider myself lucky as without the opportunity I would have automatically gone with the XT2

MisterJohnnyT: The news release on the Fuji website: http://www.fujifilmusa.com/press/news/display_news?newsID=880649

...makes no mention of the increased shutter speed being a part of the Firmware update! Looks like the camera I bought ONE MONTH ago is already obsolete! Thanks Fuji !!!

Also, according to that release, the electronic shutter on the Silver edition is only compatible with 3 specific prime lenses.

I think you will find it mentions specific wide aperture primes as a reason to use such high shutter speeds. This is not saying that these are the only lenses the electronic shutter can be used with.

Absolutic: Fujirumors site confirms that existing users of black XT1 will also get 1/32000 and electronic shutter via firmware. Can you guys at dpreview confirm it through FUJI? It is not clear from the release. It is very important, as it is one area where I constantly run into issues with fast Fuji lenses and 1/4000 shutter speed on my XT1.

Thanks for that. It does indeed confirm it which is great news. Basically, after December the only difference between the 2 models will be the finish which again shows what a decent company Fuji are not leaving their older customers feeling short-changed.

However, his source twice confirmed that it would come in firmware. Also this is stated in the Fuji Guys first look video. It would be good to have official written confirmation as it is not in the change list.

RoccoGalatioto: When you add it all up, with a few extra bucks one can get the X1 Pro with a nice big sensor.

And the x100 is a lot quieter and has a built in flash.
