Nice "catch" shot ... excellent example of the "quick" AF on FZ-1000.

You CAN however put more "red" into the image. The existing "red" was "corrected" by AWB by shifting it "cyan", (which now can be removed).

This is a PERFECT photo in many ways ... It could only be improved with a "canoe" paddling down the river. (or maybe some "birds")

Did you use any "Fill-Flash" or was that strictly from an overhead street-light ???

Engineer Pass ???

I went with a jeep group to Ouray in 1974. Our first outing was to be on Engineer Pass.
At the "first" rock, as my front-right wheel rose up, my entire gas-tank FELL OFF, (and hit a "pointed" rock and punched a hole in it).

I had to "race" back down to Ouray before gas-ran-out.

I had had the tank repaired (a week) BEFORE the trip, and he had not reinstalled it w/ any "bolts", (it was just sitting on some flanges. When I hit that first rock, the frame twisted just enough for the entire take to fall off. Took me a full week to get another tank sent to Ouray while I waited.

PhotoTeach2: Beautiful ... (do you have to keep it secret ... I'd love to go there) ...

I don't remember exactly where but I once found a "gorge" in Oregon. I forget where but seems like central OR, (probably near I5).

It was back in the 70's so just can't remember where.

On photo Hearne-06-001 in the Alphabet soup. Letter X - Illustrate "X-Roads" (crossroads) challenge (7 comments in total)

I was born and raised 20-miles from there, (Bryan/College-Station, TX).

Back in 1959, (@ age 11), I was sent to a BOARDING SCHOOL, (actually a Seminary), in San Antonio, TX.

I went to/from via TRAIN, from this station, (in Hearne TX), many times.

The seminary had a darkroom and we had access to FREE photo film, paper, chemicals from military surplus, (abundant since there were "5" military bases in San Antonio). So I bought a full camera/flash (w/ Weston Master) from Father Rice for $30 and spent all my free time in the darkroom.

I was born and raised only 20-miles from there, (Bryan/College-Station, TX).

Back in 1959 I was sent-away to a BOARDING SCHOOL, (actually a Seminary), in San Antonio, TX.

I went to/from via TRAIN from that station, (in Hearne, TX), many times.
