  • It looks like they are available from B&H as "Special order" with 7-10 days availability: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1627925-REG/leofoto_lp_284c_lh_30_lp_284c_poseidon_series_tripod.html
  • Replied in Repair
Unfortunately, this is how repair industry works: very few still do component-level repairs. They would likely replace a large part of external housing that includes the door, hence the cost of ...
  • Replied in Fujinon?
I can't speak for the Fujis, but my 10x42L had no visible IQ difference from my Zeiss Victory that I sold later. I also sold the 10x42L because of weight, kept 12x36ii. Yes, 12x36ii have some color ...
  • Replied in Fujinon?
There is a relatively new line of Fujinon Techo-Stabi, lighter and smaller than original, but not weather-sealed: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1386514-REG/fujinon_600019814_12x28_ts1228_t ...
  • Replied in Fujinon?
Since this old thread is revived, does anyone have Fujinon TS 12x28? The stabilization should be as good as Canon or better, and they are even smaller and lighter. What about the image quality and ...
  • Replied in 24-70
Definitely, if it is optically much better than the Zeiss, but still small and light.
  • Replied in Focusing rail
Any ball head has a slot where you can set it at 90 degrees. Then, attach a focusing rail, set it vertical, and use the screw to move your camera up and down precisely.
  • Replied in A longer Macro?
Everybody's needs are different, I am not a portrait shooter, so I don't feel an urge for another fast 85mm. Current 90mm macro is excellent. I would rather ask for a longer (180-200mm) 1:1 macro lens.
  • Replied in Ripple effect...
Questions like this one appear from time to time – a new member asks a question either absurd or provocative, and, in most cases, never replies again… It is like throwing a rock in a pond and ...
  • Unreachable bliss:
  • Replied in Arca P0
Got Arca-Swiss P0, can imagine anything more versatile and easier to use: You can forget forever about those nightmares :-D Also use a Gitzo GH1382TQD on my Ocean Traveler tripod, and Leofoto EB-36 ...
  • Replied in Here you are...
All my cat photos are amazing. I just had to take another one for this thread ;) You might criticize the composition, but I think light is fine.
  • Thanks, I somehow missed that thread!
  • Is something like this eventually coming to real cameras? https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/02/a-new-lens-technology-is-primed-to-jumpstart-phone-cameras/
  • Replied in Organic decay?
I keep making the same mistake over and over again - forgetting adding a smiley when trying (not always successfully) to make joke... ;)
  • Replied in Organic decay?
Would it last longer if you keep it in the freezer?
  • I use a longer version of the same tripod, LS-225C. Not perfect in windy weather, but otherwise works great with my Sony A7R2.
  • Interesting... In order to determine star's color, the image of the star must cover more than one pixel on any color-array sensor. So, do they intentionally de-focus the image a bit to get the ...
  • Because they can sell it to you for another $2,000?

  • You just described what an Apple - designed camera would look like!
