  • Makes good sense. My Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS 1 worked well at the store when I tested the camera out. I always bring my own card and then I can look at the results at home, and make an order.
  • Yup! I took my Sandisk Extreme Pro (same card as yours) to Hunts Photo when I went to see the XT3. I used that card and the camera fired like a well oiled M16. No lag, no nothing.
  • Thank you all for saving me money. There are some compatibility issues with some cards. However, say a Sandisk 95mbs would be absolutely fine. Video is not much of an concern right now. Collusion: ...
  • That seems like what I’ll do. One great card, and use the others I have. My best card is a 95 Lexar In tests the ‘older’ normal Lexar caused issues, but the one you mentioned. I think it was Ask ...
  • Replied in going Fuji XT3
Thanks Tom!! It pains me that I’m an Adorama VIP member and they already have my money because Hunts is wonderful. I’m placing the call tomorrow to send back the unopened X100F and swap out for the ...
  • Created discussion thread New XT3 - Reasonable SD Card?
Forgive me I’ve never spent this much on SD cards. I’ve looked at the other posts. I’ve researched online. It looks like 300mbs, UHS II is the way to go. The Sony is $107 for a 64gb. 128gb gets up ...
  • Replied in going Fuji XT3
Thanks for that about not babying your x100t. Good to know. In the final analysis, I spent $1200 on an X100F plus a 3 year drop and spill warranty. Then I thought, gee I should have something ultra ...
  • I hear you. Not the greatest video cameras. The former Digital Rev dude vlogs with the XT3, and it looks good. He loves that stuff. Anyway, a GOOD video camera these days is cheap. You shouldn’t ...
  • Replied in Gorilla glass
Definitely good to know about the gorilla glass. If I’m getting something rugged, I’m not going to opt for the ‘less’ rugged model (although it might be fine). K5ii isn’t as cheap as you’d think. ...
  • Thanks Kent! Good points. I’ll probably leave one lens in it and charge batteries in the apartment. I’m not living in the rain forest at this point. A beach town. X100F has zero sealing. It will ...
  • I need a second ‘cheap’ weather sealed setup for a big trip. I had several of the K’s up to the 7. I’d grab a K-70 but it’s more than I want to spend. I just bought the Fuji X100F. I’ll let that ...

Thanks Mark. I’m leaning that way. Grab a k5. If lost or stolen I’m not going to cry. If photography was the point of the trip, I’d go with expensive stuff. Pentax is still compact compared to a ...
  • Henry, this is what my friends and family tell me. If this becomes a travel obsession, buy an expensive camera at that point. K5II is between $300-$400 depending on condition. Mint is $389, and ...
  • Fantastic Stuff!!
  • Hi thanks. I don’t have terrible hand shake. I can’t reason as to why XPRO2 images were not in focus. Yes 23 is not enough to really need IBIS. I have not had that problem before. I just used ...
  • That was my issue was Fuji XPRO2. No IBIS which I didn’t even know when I bought it. Pentax always gave me IBIS. Fuji’s new XH1 is in my opinion the nicest camera on the market. Granted I don’t ...
  • How do I keep it safe in Brazil? The area where I rented an apartment is a small surfer enclave and I’m not that worried there. I would not take it out in a major city in Brazil. Itacare is ‘safe.’ ...
  • I love that close focus. It’s like a macro mode. You’re not going to get pics of insects but it’s really cool.
