  • Actually more like comparing a new in 2019 m43rds sensor matching an APS-C sensor from three years ago doesn't sound tome like the all out great competitive accomplishment at the pricing and tier ...
  • Because touting a new expensive camera in 2019 to match a 3 years old camera doesn't strike me as the great accomplishment is touted out to be. And the others are the current competition.
  • I used the SEL35 for three solid weeks. I can say it's one of the better lenses in the system butt it's only really sharp at F4-F5.6. It's not bad wide open, but it's not as sharp as other options...

  • Yup, it would be better than the others if the rumor is true.

  • @Canon - you don’t have to believe me. You should try the lens for yourself. But I’ll take the word of someone else who mentioned the sigma is very good.

  • @blue - those lenses are not as good as the Fuji counterparts. The sel35 is decent but not as sharp wide open, etc. Sony really needs to revisit this.

  • The xt3 is better in having really good, small lenses selection. Better UI but looks like you are ok with Sony.

Xt3 is weather sealed so that’s another diff

Fuji Jpegs are still better though...

  • If you can freeze movement with flash as you point out though that changes the type of photography you are doing, it’s one less argument for I is

At the high iso the difference isn’t “that’s...

  • @Canon- not sure that lens will go head to head as the XF35 F1.4 has its own "magic" if you will, but I'll take your word for it. Regardless, there are other lenses that the Sony here simply...

  • @Blue/rogerjp- like I said, it doesn't affect you and that's great - for you. It's still a cons when shopping around.

  • Some Fuji lenses could use better motors, but I can tell you that an X-E3 focuses even the old F1.4 XF35 (fantastic lens by the way), much much better, faster and accurately than before. Where is...

  • It's the m43rds inferiority complex that many seem to have in this forum- where m43rds is the obvious perfect sensor balance, because "it's too close to asp-c" yet somehow 1'' sensors are not that ...
  • @BlueBomberTurbo- on compression artifacts- I am glad that for you, that's not an issue. For many, particularly those lifting from shadows or trying to make the best from high ISO/night shots it...

  • I agree you don't need all the lenses in the world. But the problem here with the e-mount of Sony APS-C is that there are hardly any truly excellent lenses in that line up. Even the standard...

  • It's not about 100% pixel peeping but how that lens behaves in a way that's globally visible. There's several cameras out there that can catch the action anyway (Nikon 1, Fuji XT3, etc.
    Lenses...

  • Now, that doesn't make a lot of sense- does it? I mean, wouldn't the same apply to a 16 MP and 20 MP raw/JPEG relationships?  But check out my reply to your question on the Olympus claim ...
  • Replied in 80mp is 80mp
We were talking about the resolution, if it matched 80 MP. That's the context of the OP.  Of course the file by pixel count is ~80 MP- duh.  I have a PenF.  I have shot RAW with it, you are not ...
  • Nope. I mentioned what Olympus claimed and said. Why Olympus didn't go for 64 MP or 80 MP then? Think about that. As for Panasonic- maybe they went for the marketing aspect of it? Or maybe they are ...
  • Argue it with Olympus. They claim it's 40 MP camera class for EM5 MKII and 50 MP for PenF/ Em1 mKII. Of course tech can improve over time. Duh. As for "already mentioned that to me" it makes no ...
  • I'll try but - this was a long time ago at this point, but there were a few places this was mentioned. https://www.techradar.com/reviews/cameras-and-camcorders/cameras/digital-slrs-hybrids/olympus- ...
