On photo M. look in the Portraits side lit challenge (5 comments in total)
In reply to:

apice: No offense here, but this is the best "side lighting" shot?
What are you people looking at? Who does the final judging, Paula Abdul?
There are at least 10 better shots and I'm not refering to my submission. As a working pro, I turn in hundreds of images to editors, marketing services, ad companies, ect....I try and turn in stuff a little outside of the box. I expect harsh C&C.
I see shots that too dark, lighting is wrong and just plain bad.
Again, this is a fine shot, maybe top 20, but not #1

Thanks for your honnest comment. Well, actually, I don't think it's the best shot of the competition but I'm glad so much people gave a good evaluation. Those results challenges are always questionnable but isn't it often the case when we talk about art.
This one was "just" a snap shot and agreed, I like dark pictures (as you can see in my gallery) and post-processing. Just a personnal preference.

I'm the 4th one in this contest but when I saw all the pictures I really thought you'll be the first. It's a beautiful black and white and the light is very dreamy. I love it.
