my current set up:
cameras : Sony A900, Sony A55V, CanonEOS5Dmk2 ,Nikon D7000
camera sold this year:
Nikon D700 ,Pentax K5,D90, Pentax Kx , Pentax K20D.
cameras I might buy in next month:
now , Sony is my main system , I also like Canon cause I can adapt many many lenses to EOS via adapters.
I tried almost all brands cameras and found for me Sony is the best mount and keeping it with some Nikon and Canon cameras.
I also liked the Pentax K5 but it is soft and most of Pentax primes are just beautifully made but not sharp..........at least not as sharp as Sony pro level primes.
So, I sold the K5 and got Alpha A55V again as a back up camera to my 2 Sony Alpha 900 bodies.
i just prefer Alpha A900 + Sony SAL85f1.4ZA to Canon or Nikon fast 85mm primes or Pentax DA*55f1.4SDM. The Sony 85f1.4Z lens is just insanely sharp with very very neutral perfect color and is stabilized (meaning I can shoot 1/4th second handheld).
But if 135 is your kind of focal length , then go for it.
it is also a great lens , imo,any of these 3 Zeiss ZA primes is more than enough reason to justify the Alpha A900.
and dont forget the SAL50f1.4 , whcih is a great compact , inexpensive prime.
For my A900 the 50 is like its mount cap.
