@tedolf OEM flashes are never as good, cost 2-3 times as much for less features, and aren't part of a system of strobes. I use my V860II with an AD200 and an AD400 PRO whenever I go on location....
-
Half the power of an AD200 for the same price? Even the AD200 PRO is $350, so not much more for twice the power. I like Godox a lot, but that just seems like a miss.
-
The AD300 Pro is nothing like the Profoto B10s. Just because two companies make strobes doesn't mean one is copying the other. When Westcott released their 400W strobe, they didn't copy anyone,...

Godox had their S2 bracket launch over a year ago, and they had their regular S bracket well before that. It seems that Profoto has been playing catch up.
-
Meanwhile, Godox released 2 adapters first for $20 each...

It has not been released yet, and Adobe didn't mention on their site that it was released yet, either. This will release sometime this month. The headline for this article should be corrected to...

Welcome to DPR! I've always loved your breakdowns and analysis!

Except for the Sigma ones. They seem to be very transparent during their interviews, quite an enjoyable rarity.
-
Maybe they don't want a repeat situation like the 70-200, or like the 58 0.95 which was out of stock on Day 1. Better to announce when you know you can deliver and have reasonable amount of stock...

Yeah, it really discourages the photo capturing process. Why take a picture of the full moon at my location when I can use someone else's in my photo instead? It just incentivizes people to avoid...
-
It's neat that they can do this, but, to paraphrase a certain scientist, "[They] were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
-
@panther fan Really? I never heard that before. Hopefully that will change. Also, why couldn't a Sony TC work if there is enough space for it to fit? It's not like the TC won't magnify a lens...
-
Technically it is. It has the space to accept teleconverters, so it'll be compatible when Sigma eventually release their teleconverters for E-mount.
-
The Sony 90mm Macro isn't compatible with teleconverters, right?
-
They confirmed in an interview with CineD that it won't have RAW options. I was comparing it to the BMPCC mostly because they are trying to capture that same market, user base, and form factor,...
-
BMPCC competitor, minus the RAW capabilities and 6K.
-
I used to use that way back in the day (10 years ago?). It just couldn't compare at the time, and I haven't heard anything revolutionary about it or AfterShot now. Very sad.

Only 1/160th for flash sync speed?!?!? This camera is meant for vlogging and vlogging only. I found out about the concept of this camera last year at Sony's event near PPE. They mentioned that,...

I completely agree. I think we were all disappointed after seeing the amazing launch of the a7Siii. I'm still trying to figure out who exactly this is for at that price point. There's a lot of...
