User8303410032: If there is a 1.6 crop in video, why not allow for EF-S lens, for the wide angle...

The lenses will hit the mirror.

tvstaff: Canon claims the 1DX MKII is weather sealed for extreme conditions. I find this to be false and misleading. Through my own experience and by conversations I've had with Canon. As a professional water sports photographer i can tell you this camera is not sealed for " extreme weather" as Canon claims in their ads.

I know it's probably not really related but I had a 7D which was marketed as weather sealed which was definitely not sealed either. Sealing everywhere except the shutter release button which acted as a funnel. Anyway, anyone out there who reads this, it's not a hate on Canon post. Just be aware that marketing hype sometimes doesn't match reality.

Marcel: I prefer RED BULL Motor Cross event shots where motorcrossers take dangerious loops and that kind of things.

Btw i notice that the shutterspeed is too high if i see that the spikewheeks are bloody sharp. The should be blurry in order to suggest speed of the rotating wheel. Everything else should be sharp.

Well, I know what I like, and I know what my racing buddies like as well. So, I guess it's a matter of opinion. Happy shooting

I pretty much have respectfully disagree, Starkiller. Panning shots with moto cross definitely help convey a sense of speed. It's not only on tarmac where this is relevant. It's a fine line though. Too slow shutter speed and its almost impossible to pan smoothly with such erratic movement. I also know when AF has missed focus on a panned shot. So it does show how good the AF is.

andrewsf: I'll probably cop some flak for this but I'm quite unimpressed with these. I shoot motocross quite a bit with a 7D and yeah, it's hard to photograph well, but these are not that great.

This does make me feel better about my 7D though, which I generally don't care for. Seems it's not as awful as I thought :P

Sure, I don't really put my stuff online unless someone specifically wants a copy of it, but if you'd like to have a look here are some here:

The white balance is off because I was working on someone else's PC with a screen that wasn't calibrated right.

I don't claim that mine are amazing. mearly that I was expecting more from a 7000 dollar camera. And that my 7D actually does alright in situations like this. Previously, I'd not been that impressed with it.
