I'm still not getting why this kind of article is seen by the editor as appropriate for this site. I don't come here to read this sort of thing.

You're cramming this website with more and more useless articles. All the while not bothering to review Canon 1DX. Something smells rotten.

I once bought a Samdung (sic) Blu Ray player. It failed quickly. I sent for repair and when it came back it still didn't work

Never again Samdung for me.

OK I watched the second one. Pretty good but the first one just annoyed me to the point of not watching it all

What a dope

It would cost me $16,000 to upgrade my IQ140 back to IQ250. Same sensor. Need I say more ?

Joseph S Wisniewski: I can hardly wait to try this on the Linhoff M679. That little gem of a view camera just cries out for a medium format back with liveview. Now, granted the M679 is a little long for the lenses that make good normals and wides on a 55mm diagonal sensor, but there are still a few tolerable offerings. For product, this thing should be a killer.

You can keep the Fuji 645 lenses and body that the vultures slap a "Hassleblad" label on.

Credo 40 is available now for $10995 back alone or $13995 with DF+ and Schneider 80mm LS lens

This isn't the best back for a technical camera due to microlenses. A Phase One or Credo back would be a better choice. I use the IQ140 on a Cambo WRS with Schneider digitar lense. Blows away drum scanned 4x5 film

Gesture: If nothing else, I expect it will take a while for 3rd party RAW converters to master this sensor output. What Sigma can do with the RAW file with its Sigma Photo Pro will be an important part of the image equation.

I wish Dick Merrill were still alive to give his take on this.

Iridient Developer supports DP Merrill files. Likely Quattro as well soon.

Amazing how many experts there are here, NOT. Why do you think this isn't an improvement over the other DP2 Merrills ? Surely Sigma knows what they are doing.

noegd: A local shop sells the DP Merrill for 399€ (each, not the three of them) Maybe I should get one before the last "true Foveon" cameras are gone?

Had an original DP1 and loved its IQ (in good light).

Do you really think it's a step downward ? Come on open your mind a crack
