On article Adobe announces final Camera Raw update for CS6 owners (467 comments in total)

Been using PS since release 3. I like some of the features of CS6 but don't need or use most of them. I get my raw conversions with Nikon native software which I think does a better job.

Suspect there are plenty of photographers like myself that couldn't care less since this has no significant affect on how we process images.

On article Canon warns about dangers of counterfeit camera gear (154 comments in total)

It may be true or not. OEM companies are notorious for making statements unsupported by the facts or intended to mislead.

It would be interesting if some knowledgeable source would brake down the product into components to determine if they are indeed a cheap rip off.

I've spent most of my working career involved in manufacturing in varied industries and smoke & mirrors is rampant.

Disappointing to say the least. Is this the best Canon can do?

What a pointless review. Why compare a phone to a camera. Does a camera make phone calls, surf the web, send emails and text messages, manage your calendar, solve your math problems, etc., etc... The phone just happens to take pictures too. And the pictures are competitive.

Nobody buys a phone just to take pictures. I know which one I would choose to carry with me. It wouldn't be the camera regardless of how good it was.

This is just a lame attempt to garner support for an obsolete device.

I don't like subscriptions. No problem. Adobe is not the only game in town.

On article HTC One X Camera Review (76 comments in total)

I would definately not consider a smart phone based on the camera features alone so these reviews are not that interesting to me. There are better reviews available that evaluate the whole phone.

I own a Samsung smart phone which is very useful for all sorts of things, but I rarely use it to take images. I suspect that this will change in time as the phones become more sophisticated.

I will be upgrading at the end of the year and am currently researching the options. I am not brand loyal except for Apple (brand reject) which I defniately will never buy.

Camera & lens combination not likely. I don't think there is an adaptor to mount Canon lenses on Nikon cameras.

So, at least in good light the IQ is on a level with larger sensor cameras.

I think my Sony tablet takes better pictures.
