I didn't even know such a camera existed! Looks nice, I'm sure it'll serve you well and I look forward to the results if you get round to posting them.

I can very easily get away with 3 primes. Either 28, 50, 100 or 21, 35, 85. 2 primes is doable, too with 40mm and 100mm. Of course, if the occasion needs it, a decent telephoto zoom is invaluable, ...

If I was in your situation, I’d take the Sony. Best image quality and fastest operation. On the off-chance that you’re going to stop by the beach, pack the Olympus tough as well. That’ll cover all ...

The best optics of yesteryear compete extremely well with decent lenses today. I once had the Nikon 35ti and that had an excellent lens. The Rollei 35 also has a really good lens, but that doesn’t ...

It’s someone who debates many people. What do you think it means?!

I'm not moving the goalposts. You're just strawmanning like a mass-debater desperatately trying to change the subject. I literally wrote "However, if you're going to be scientific about it, you ...

You chose wisely, the FM2n is one of the best! If you can stretch to it, get yourself a voigtlander 58mm f1.4 lens to go with it. The tactile pleasure you'll get from it will be worth every penny.

True, there are many subjective things in both photography and horology. Beyond that, it also doesn't measure the tactility of a film advance lever or a rotating bezel or the sound of a shutter or ...

Yes, you can. Test charts can measure sharpness. Colorimeters measure colour.

Evidently, you're overthinking it, looking for loophole upon loophole to try to invalidate the comparison. It's very simple, since it has only 2 premises: 1. Mechanical watches do not measure time ...

I'm challenging people to critically think, but I guess I came to the wrong place.

In my experience, black and white photography is even more colour inaccurate than colour photography. Now THAT is a weird analogy. Everyone knows oranges are better than apples.
-
Ok, let me put it like this, time is a precise measurement that’s measured poorly by mechanical watches. A photograph on film is a scientific phenomenon whereby an image is formed on film, but ...
-
I think the analogy is spot on. Allow me to explain: a mechanical watch can tell the time, but no way nearly as accurately as a digital watch. A film camera can make images, but not as accurately ...
-
I understand what you’re saying, but I’d argue that there is an artistic/artisanal quality to some mechanical watches, too.

A lot of people who don’t use film are indifferent to the medium. It’s not for them, but they’re ok with its existence. Then there are others who are very much anti-film and we get to read their ...

Even better - just use your phone.

I am in the process of selling my Sony kit and will eventually move to Fuji GFX. One lens I will miss is the Zeiss Loxia 21mm. Its handling and build quality are sublime, but without a body to use ...

Interesting. It sort of looks like the slide film version of a cheap, consumer negative film. Still, slide films are cool and I look forward to shooting a few rolls of this.
