Nikon D7000
Nikon D800
Sony a7R
a tad larger but this is a great APS-c camera, its reliable, long battery life, built in intervalometer is nice and can take abuse, this is an excellent backup camera.
great camera but its real heavy and big. i love the built in intervalometer, long battery life and the reliability. I have dropped it and keeps on tickin. this is a workhorse.
I love the lightness, the small form factor. The hand grip is really nice. This camera can rival my nikon d800 when it comes to image quality but lacks in FPS, has shutter lag, vibrations on long lenses is bad but the pros are focus peaking with manual lens which is the whole reason I got this. I have a whole collection on Nikon AIS legacy glass which was hard to use on my nikon d800 because you can't rely on getting the image tack sharp but with this A7R you can zoom in and see peaking colors. getting the image tack sharp has never been easier. This camera has brought new life into me, i take more pictures now and pretty much shoot only prime now. It has some pitfalls, like no intervalometer, very short battery life, tiny selection of FE lens on release of camera plus most are not as fast. its a trade off for being small and light. I'd say this is a great landscape lens, ideal for it but not for using at a wedding shoot.
Sony a7R II
Nikon AF Nikkor 135mm f/2D DC
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED
The most incredible landscape lens for my Nikon. I use this for nature landscapes and star photography, imo this is a must have if you need UWA.
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G
Sony FE 35mm F2.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Sonnar T*
Sony FE 55mm F1.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Sonnar T*
Sony FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS
very small lens. ideal for always having with ya. its only 2.8 hence the size if it was like a 1.4 the glass would be much bigger. there is vignetting, so when importing always do lens profile to correct. extremely sharp lens, perfect walkround prime, great for street photography. imo its a must have since its small and sharp.
Another must have lens, its razor sharp, in fact its the sharpest lens I've ever owned, beats all my nikon glass. This glass goes everywhere I go, plus the FE35.
very sharp, it loses 1 star because the tripod collar mount is not tight. no matter how hard to tighten the knob the collar mount slips too easily but its a nice option to have as you can rotate camera from landscape to portrait mode easily.
Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS
This is now my sharpest UWA lens. only downside is, i would not use it for astrophotography as f4 is too slow but for everything else its great.
