On photo White Muscovy Duck in the Abstract Animal Photo challenge (8 comments in total)
In reply to:

douflytoo: Sorry tasad, disagree with you this time. Challenge states..."Can you create an artistic photo of animals? Can you capture the essence of your subject? Abstract, surreal, or impressionist creations are welcome. Please vote on which photo is most technically accomplished, most aesthetically pleasing, and best captures an artistic photo of an animal." So, Abstract ?... surreal ?... impressionism ?... "are welcome" not required.

So, what is the purpose tu use the word "abstract"
in the the challenges theme?
Which of these mentioned styles of art are
presented in the image above ?
None of them...
It's a realistic photo (like the majotrity of entries).

On photo House in the Constable Country in the Victorian House challenge (15 comments in total)
In reply to:

kayjas: I have just remembered my rationale why I selected this photo!
This house was in the famous painting by John Constable called the Hay Wain http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/paintings/john-constable-the-hay-wain
and this was painted in the Victorian times.
Sorry for the confusion and I hope this puts thing right.

"The Hay Wain" was painted in 1821.
The "Victorian Era" was from 1837 to 1901.
John Constable died a few months before
the Victorian times...

In reply to:

tasad: This house - architecturally and historically - has nothing to do
with a "victorian house"... It's a 16th-century cottage.

A nice picture , but it doesn't fit the challenge's theme...
