Agree with pretty much everything here. As mentioned, this lens was crucified for not having prime-like corners at all focal ranges. But takes nice renditions, and very useful if you adapt to its ...

Here are some shots with the new 70-300. It has some really good half macro qualities. Edited with a little sharpening and exposure. @ minimum focal distance Mr. Lizard My futile attempt at ...

The weather let up a bit, so went out for some pics around the area. All pics are sooc. About 400m away. You can see the heat shimmer Min focal distance Min focal distance Min focal distance

For me, all I did was swap out the left dial and ISO button. This will bring the iso to the left dial like the traditional Fuji layout. I use A most of the time, and exp comp is on the right rear ...

My copy also came in today. I only was able to take some pics before the sun set. The house in the pic is about 500m away, atop of a mountain. Had a bit of a drizzle. Took at both 5.6 and 8.0. Over ...

I use this clock as my macro subject.

I sold my 55-200mm to fund the 70-300mm. I'm gonna trust Fuji on this one. Not expecting any miracles, but if it can match the IQ of the 55-200mm, I'm good to go. We'll see how it goes.

On that page with the three choices, it should indicate 5/5 which means you are on page five. Use the joystick to scroll up/down to the other pages.

This is what convinced me to get the 55-200mm. If the 70-300mm is just as good, or even a little better than the 55-200mm, I have no issues :)

It's too bad that you had to return the lens. I also have the 18-55mm, and that also is a very good lens for its size and reach. Either way, I hope you will like the Fuji system, and with more ...

Here are some sooc images that I took with the 16-80mm. Just random hand held shots. 35mm 50mm 80mm

Pic1: Not sure what happened here. SS is pretty fast, iso160... Might be an AF error? Pic2: Hard to tell, images appear a little softer when at iso3200 imo. SS is pretty slow too. Pic3: 1/13ss is a ...

Please post pics of these unsharp images. We would like to know what's being compared here. Also, what firmware version is the body and lens? Did you try electronic shutter? Just some questions ...

It was a beautiful moon, so I tried to take a pic with my 55-200mm. Some cropping, and post processing done. Water lily at nearby temple.

This is also how I use auto iso. If I want to limit iso, I manually set it. Strictly based for shutter speeds, and works great imo.

Pretty much agree with everything mentioned here;-)

Sharpness is what most people seem to care about these days, but I agree that it's more than just that. This lens also has good contrast, color rendition, etc. I did notice this over my copy of ...
