I didn't think to make this a challenge rule, so you wont get disqualified for not doing this - but it would be great if you include in your description how many photos you have stitched together and what program you used to do it.

On photo Up on your toes in the The world of Dance challenge (3 comments in total)

As you have stated that the primary dancer is under 15 I wont disqualify it, but if you happened to have a solo photo of your daughter I think that would be better as I can't control the voting public who might discriminate against the male dancer.

Please observe the age limit otherwise I will disqualify. If it is not clear that the dancers are under 15 years of age please write in the description their ages.

Lensbaby lens' are a brand of lens ( you will know what I am talking about if you have one). It is not just a cute title for a challenge. If you did not use a lensbaby lens in taking your photo, please do not submit the photo.

Please make certain when you are entering this challenge you include what type of Lensbaby you used - there are now so many different priced options on the market that it would be good to be able to see what images the different ones can produce. I will disqualify any images that don't include the lens type and ask you to resubmit it.

Sivashankar: I submitted a photo taken from a point & shoot at 560mm. In 35mm terms, the focal length is only 100mm. So, it was disqualified by the challenge host! Bah. Does he even understand the crop factor of a 1/2.3 inch camera?

I have cancelled your disqualification, which I would have done ealier if you had responded to me personally explaining why your photo did in fact meet the challenge requirements. Unforuntely in the thumbnail view titles and descriptions don't come up so your revised focal length didn't come up. Perhaps you should have overwritten that when you uploaded your photo as it is likely that the voting public will also vote you down for not meeting the challenge rules based on the information presented in the thumbnail view.

As a challenge host I am constantly frustrated that people miss the point of my challenges, so I am thrilled with this new challenge comments section. Hopefully people will start looking here before they post their photos. Photoman555 said it very well about my intentions for this challenge. In my current lot of challenges I am trying to showcase the visual effects different lens' have, not just showing photos that were taken at a particular focal length. Yes I would love to see more photos taking advantage of the visual compression you can achieve by using a longer focal length, but I am also not going to disqualify photos that are the correct focal length but don't have the compression feel to it. I would love to see photos that are showing the compression element voted higher than photos that are not, but I can't control the voters:)

My bad. I forgot that I stated that images shouldn't be cropped to achieve look, but having said that, I still fail to see how that can be determined by just looking at an image. I have no issues with a macro photo being cropped to achieve a better appearance.

The hair now needs to be edited as there is an implied discrepency of the age of the face compared to the grey in the hair

From some complaints I have recieved, I have no issue with photos that appear to have been cropped ( I don't know how that was determined in the first place). The challenge was to get in close to something using a macro lens or setting on your camera, and from what I can determin, these images meet that criteria.

From a quick look at the votes I can so no obvious manipulation has occurred. If you have further concerns re voting manipulation I suggest you direct them to DPR as I have limited information at my disposal.

From the moment I saw this photo I knew it was destined to be the winner. The voting public got this right. Well done.
