The longer the focal length for macro (at least for lively insects) the better. I would have preferred a 200mm macro over my 105mm for working distance.

For pure extreme macro, the most important property is working distance versus magnification. Most of these modern macros have floating elements and try to be good at close-up as well as infinity....

If 60 FPS gives better AF than say 24 or 30 FPS would it theoretically be possible for a camera to shoot 60 FPS and scrap half of the frames so video is 30 FPS but AF is analysed...
