  • I've been on holiday in Japan 3 or 4 times - so different and the food is wonderful. Tokyo is BUSY and crowded so don't be surprised if you find your tripod and/or a large bag an encumbrance on ...
  • The temp might be a bit on the warm side though not to a worrying degree - but I don't know your particular setup so the temps might indeed be normal. The fan speed is OK but some setups will ...
  • If the fan has actually failed it is likely (inevitable?) that your CPU temperature has gnoe exceptionally high.  Have you checked that eg using CPUID Hardware Monitor.  It should also give ...
  • An authoritative Epson employee was regularly asked why prints were darker than  screen view. His regular answer was to look at the prints under good light (daylight) and/or darken the monitor.  ...

So it looks as if the guidance is that the photographer doesn't own the copyright if he/she doesn't press the shutter. What about the copyright of photos/videos from cameras triggered by a passing ...
  • Some years ago I had programs on D an Windows onC.  But there were a couple of programs that wouldn't run from D.  I had data on E. There seemed to be no advantage.  Also the backup requirements ...
  • Created question thread Slide scanning services UK
I would like to scan a number of old 35mm colour slides.  A quick Google showed a good few companies/individuals offering this service in the UK.  Most seem to provide basic editing, colour and ...
  • Qimage will do this.  It can print an "unclog Pattern" of what ever size you want and do it on a schedule of your choosing.  It's not free but is probably the best printing programme on the market ...
  • Are you sure you want to be working with a focal length of around 840mm - and on an APSC sensor?  DoF will be minimal, focusing will be a nightmare and you'll need a good tripod too.  Whether the ...
  • For many years I used a laser Canon monochrome AIO and refilled the toner.  I also had an HP colour printer - actually my daughter still uses that, must be 15yrs old!  This was fine until the AIO ...

  • Remember you lose 2 stops of light with a 2x TC.  So, your f5.6 will become f11 and the lens will not autofocus.  The usual limit on AF is f8. I would caution against TCs in general unless you are ...
  • It doesn't quite fit what you describe, but have you set the lens or camera to Manual rather than auto focus?
  • Sorry, I am confused. Are you setting the focus option to flexible spot (where you select the point of focus) or wide (where the camera selects the point of focus within the "wide" area).
  • I have the A77II and confess to be puzzled re focus settings, particularly re tracking. The consensus for the A99ii DPReview test seems to prefer a tracking setting of 1 - giving priority to ...
  • I use Avast free for real time monitoring and turned of Defender - but I have a message on the Defender page to say Defender is still doing a periodic virus check.  Which suits me fine.  Indeed ...
  • I very occasionally have something like that happen.  If it persists eg after opening and closing Thunderbird or restarting the computer, I just delete that specific account and re-install it.  ...
  • You will need a wireless connection from a remote location and sadly the standard 3880, excellent printer though it is, doesn't do wi-fi.  However, I believe there is a Designer model that does. ...
  • Replied in Qimage Help
As NJTrout suggested, try the Qimage forum - but check you haven't got "crop lock" set at  on.  In the panel that shows the standard print sizes it is a button showing a pair of scissors on the ...
  • Sorry if this has been covered, but what shows if you review a good image on an SD card.  I assume an image from another Sony is likely to display but you might have some old images on a card or ...
