After seeing the supermoon last night I remembered the red blood moon I took in September 2015 which was much more thrilling and beautiful to view because of its red colour without photoshop http://www.pbase.com/fredyr/image/161424912

Fredy Ross: I wonder how Photomyne which is only $4.99 measures up to such an expensive scanner for old photos? I have been waiting for the Android version to come out for my mobile phone as it could be bought a month ago for iPhone. Says it scans edits and digitizes old photos. What do others think?

unfortunately only for iPhone. I will wait for photomyne.

I was referring to old snapshots. I remember sitting for months scanning old photos, taking me months, as I wanted to give my brother all the memories he didn't have. I had them in Israel and he didn't have them. I remember using Eisman's book on how to restore old photos. That now I can just do it with a mobile phone is wonderful. Of course if it were historical photos a proper scanner is the answer. I see that those who use photomyne are very happy with it. so I am sure I will be too.

you really don't know anything about printing. When Israel images existed I sold photos through them. They had to be A3 size with no photoshop editing but could be enlarged. I sold photos made with a Kodak 2mps camera and Alamy in the UK stock photography the same. The better the printer, the better the paper, the better the result.

wicemikephoto: Something to keep in mind about "Polaroid". They are just a licensing firm at this point. Any manufacturer can pay to use the Polaroid name. There is no such thing as a Polaroid product. Even the cameras are made by C&A.

you are right as it doesn't mention this on their site

I was angry to hear that Israel was not on their list of countries. I didn't know Apple was boycotting Israel. Makes me angry if I heard correctly.

I bought one and would love some tips how to use it when it arrives. for example do I still need my external flash or instead of. I learnt studio photography but many years ago and there were many lights. How to use just one is a learning experience. Usually if I take my granddaughter I put one light on the floor and one in the background so this will be a new experience.

I have the note 3 and have no trouble taking fisheye with it without having to buy a lens. I do hope to get the Microsoft phone reported to be coming out and the Hasselblad x10 zoom though but it depends on the reviews.

Fredy Ross: Did I read that it is silent? That would be great as the A7r is like a machine gun

I don't take videos so have never experienced shutter shock but use it only for landscapes as it is so loud in the street. All the sony cameras are noisy as I have the nex 5n and 6 so I use my little canon eos M3 for street photography. Sorry but what is GES mode? the little sony 100ii is silent but I can't get good bokeh.

Did I read that it is silent? I hardly use my A7r except for landscapes as it is so noisy. If silent a lot more people would buy it/

Years ago a group in Israel just put Vaseline on a uv filter which is mostly given away free with a lens so no need to buy a lensbaby I think.
