katy C.: All the images so far taken with the 20-60mm lens are awful-flat and
oof. The other images taken with different lenses are o.k. though, IMHO!
katy

i agree katy, flat. a subjective opinion, but i think some of these images are flat too, don't "pop" off the screen. depends on lens, as you've said...maybe its the contrast? nice colours though.

nice pop "3d" effect. almost looks like the dog was photoshopped into the image.

Alexis D: How come my $500 phone never had a heat problem and no time limit for 4K?

smaller sensor + lower bitrate = less heat ( a bit more complicated, but thats the quickest answer)

tbcass: Is this a reenactment because I didn't think any army was using those poorly designed Brodie helmets any more?

uniform is too clean, pierced earlobe...most likely re enactment. but not to detract from the message or image. just my response to your question.

Picture aside, this beast's carbon footprint was the size of Texas...thankfully there wasn't too many of these fuel hungry, noisy planes flying around ( 14 in total i think) happy to see this era of travel come to end, like aerosol cans and leaded fuel, all seemed good at the time, now, hopefully, we know better...end of rant.

RIP to those that paid the ultimate price of aviation travel.

Toni Salmonelli: Totally Photograph unrelated, but just mit of curiosity. Is "kph" the american way of writing kilometers per hour resp. "km/h"?

in ontario, its km/h I dont think I've ever seen it written as kph not on road signs or in text...but different parts of canada may have different signage.

SonyOB: Aren't we beyond that already?
I mean, wasting fossil fuels for no other reason than to see if Audi engineers can make an 8-million-dollar car run just a bit faster on an empty race track.
Is it really OK to burn millions and millions just to play this silly game?
I think not.

moon landing was a hoax

going against the flow here:
i'm impressed by the dynamic range, in some cases, like the images above, i will take 20? stops of DR over clarity. impressive, for what it is meant to be.

tko: I don't believe. The device powered on when tested 13 months later? No way. My iphone 6 dies after 10 days of non-use. And then later on "while leaving the camera exposed to record the bright blue sky and Sun until its battery died."

So which is it? The battery stay charged for 12 months or it died?

probably the hikers had a power cable/power bank and plugged it in...makes sense since they were on a hike they probably had this with them. i take mine everywhere. i suppose they shortened the video of the sun recording as it makes no sense to show it for however long it lasted. cheers.
