Wubslin: Does it actually have a useful purpose or is it just another overpriced plastic toy for sad inadequates to 'measure'?

Try saving your money instead, and don't bother replying.

sorry ... but who are you sir ?

going through this short video and witnessing the tragic end of somebody's life just like that in few minutes was a moving experience for me ... truly ... truly ..truly ..
... and all these small heated crusty talks we have here, around Dynamic Range, Camera Brands .. Systems ...makes me realize how squeamishly petty we can be missing out on far more meaningful things in life ...
REST IN PEACE ARTY !

MikeRan: I presume the A9 wasn't even considered for the Professional DSLR camera since it's not a DSLR. The headline should have been Sony A9 takes EISA's best camera of the year award... I'm partial. I have the A9 and I think it's spectacular.

An inconvenient question ... I understand ..

Dominik84: I'm not so interested in the award but I love the 5D IV. Upgraded early this year from the 6D and I'm happy. It just works so fine, the whole system.

I am curious ... is the image quality apparently distinguishable between these two cameras ? I am planing also to upgrade to 5D Mark IV soon

dear Canon please explain ... according to the DPReview's comparative chart the five years old 6D has scored better than the new replacement 6D Mark II in almost every single comparison like ... better Ergonomics & handling, better Features, better Metering & focus accuracy, better Image quality (raw), better Low light / high ISO performance, better Viewfinder / screen rating and ultimately better value for money !
I guess that if Canon had painted the old camera yellow this would be enough to replace the new camera far more successfully .....

after so many years of waiting the original 6D with a score of 83% has been replaced by an improved version with the respectable overall score of 80% ! ... but hey no worries , it's a strategy so complex and winning that no one can actually understand ....
